Restaurant Belmont by Daddy Greens — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

Writing this while finishing the dinner at the restaurant.

I had olives, blood orange salad and meatballs as a starter. Good sized and tasty portions. Would've liked more zesty/acidic/vinegary dressing on then salad but that's just nitpicking. The marinara sauce is on the meatballs is on point, 5/5.

Pasta bolognese for main dish - nice! Again, as a guy who likes ketchup (sweet & savoury) with bolognese I asked for some marinara sauce to go with it and they delivered.

We live down the street and have wanted to try this place since it opened— we found an attractive interior without being overly stuffy and casual but good service. Everything was really tasty, we split a couple pasta dishes an appetizer, dessert and had a couple glasses of wine. When the bill came I was pleasantly surprised as Belmont offers much better value than many restaurants in Helsinki. I had a roast pork sandwich for lunch. This has to be the most grayest, driest and tasteless roast pork I’ve ever had. I wonder what can go so wrong? Forgot spices? Old food? Wet kale popping up randomly summarized the sadness of my lunch break. Composition of the fries were decent, but the amount of salt was just ridiculous and I couldn’t finish the fries or “sandwich”.
