Been here a few times. The food has always been good but the service not the best in my opinion. The last time I was here a couple of weeks ago the waitress was rude to my mother for seemingly no reason.
To make a long story short after the waitress took our order she seemed to go say something to the other service staff and they apparently took turns looking at us right after the waitress whispered something to them.
This is what my mother told me because I didn’t see it myself. I initially thought my mother was over reacting because it seemed kind of implausible that they would be talking about us or about our order for no reason. I still didn’t really believe my mother up until when the waitress came back to our table. My mother then just point blank asked her if there was something wrong with our order because my mother saw that she clearly was talking to her colleagues about us because they were looking over at us earlier when the waitress was whispering to them.
At this point I could tell the waitress became visibly flustered and her reasoning as to why she talked about us seemed like she was trying to make up an excuse on the spot. Her excuse was that she was worried we hadn’t ordered enough food or something like that? At that point I could tell my mom was telling the truth just based on the waitresses reaction to being called out and her explanation. This entire conversation was in Finnish as well so I don’t think this was a case of miscommunication either.
Our bill for 3 people was just under 150 euros so it wasn’t like we barely ordered anything? Also we walked in and didn’t make a reservation so we only really came into the restaurant for drinks and some snacks. Sadly because of this I won’t be...

Teller is one of those places where everything just clicks. The location is promising from the start – just a few minutes’ walk from Kamppi Shopping Centre, yet tucked away enough to feel like a discovery. Perched slightly above street level on the corner of a building, the restaurant features large windows that flood the space with natural light and offer a glimpse into the rhythm of the city outside.
The interior is stylish yet relaxed – the kind of place where you immediately feel at ease. The open kitchen adds a warm, lively atmosphere, and it’s genuinely enjoyable to watch the chefs in action. It’s clear the food here is crafted with love and skill.
Teller serves clever and beautifully executed bistro food that doesn’t try too hard – it simply delivers. The endive starter with roasted hazelnuts was a knockout: simple, but thoughtfully composed and bursting with flavor. The perch was cooked to perfection – delicate, flavorful, and memorable. Every dish reflects a respect for ingredients and a genuine passion for cooking.
Teller isn’t just a restaurant – it’s a place you’ll want to return to, again and again. And I certainly will. Easily one of the top dining spots...

Service was a let-down. Our experience was weird: dirty plates weren’t cleared from the starters, so we had to pile them onto one end of the table. When the mains and sides came, some of us got clean plates, some had to ask for new ones, and again the dirty stuff was just left for us to clear. It stayed on the table through the dinner. When asking for wine, we had to confirm to two different waiters what we had asked for - it got a bit irritating. We also didn’t get one of the dishes we ordered but didn’t get asked how our dinner was, nor whether we’d received everything. They should have someone overseeing the operation because it wasn’t running very smoothly.
There was a weird focus, very typical of Finnish restaurants, on pushing cocktails at the start of the dinner and then again at the end when we were asking for the bill - but during the dinner we were forgotten about.
We loved the interior and acoustics of the place - it was great for catching up with friends and being able...
