Bentosi Asian Cuisine — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

This was not a tasty bento. There are places with much better quality and a wider selection, offering fresh ingredients and proper meat. I pre-ordered my meal through the website, but when I arrived, the restaurant had no record of it. While they did prepare it quickly, the taste was disappointing, and I didn’t receive the 10% discount for pre-order takeout.

The only positives I can mention are that the food was ready fast and the location is convenient.

The staff was not particularly polite, and the disposable chopsticks provided with my order were so poor in quality that they broke as soon as I unpacked them. I ordered a pork bento, but the pork was not fresh — neither was the salad — and it was obvious from the appearance.

Another strange thing: when placing an order through the website, it was possible to choose any pickup time, even 8 a.m., though the restaurant actually opens at 11. I was lucky my lunch break started at 11 and I picked 11:15, otherwise I might have had to wait much longer.

There was also a previous incident with this restaurant: I tried to visit during the holidays, and Google Maps showed it as open, but when I arrived it was closed, with no notice anywhere. It would be great if the owners updated their Google profile when they are closed.

Overall, I wouldn’t make a special trip to this place...

A great concept but not well executed. The food was not exceptional as described in other reviews. The rice wasn’t the suitable kind for Japanese cuisine and was overcooked and dry. The tonkatsu meat was thin compared to the batter.

Also, there was nothing “Korean” about the Korean fried chicken; and, the prawn tempura was technically not a “tempura—it was panko-breaded “ebifurai.” To be clear, there is nothing wrong with plain fried chicken (versus Korean fried chicken) or ebifurai (versus tempura), but naming these items wrong can give a false expectation.

Good service and nice unlimited miso soup, though. I cannot recommend this place highly, but if you’re in the neighbourhood and need something light to eat,...

I have been having lunch here once or twice per month in the last year since I work very close. The food is OK, nothing special really but also not bad.

The place is likely understaffed since there are always tables with plates to be taken away and cleaned.

I had bad experiences with the personnel that treated me rudely in at least two occasions. The last time, I showed the "punch card" to get a free meal after 10 stamps maybe 15 seconds after paying and sitting at a table. I was barely able to get the stamp "but only this time" and instructed very rudely to do it immediately when paying. Sorry but there won't be...
