Stefan's Steakhouse Levi — Restaurant in Tunturi-Lapin seutukunta

The only bad experience I had in Levi during my week at the resort. I ordered the “LA burger”, that comes with fries. The fries came with cheese on it which was a burden to me, but apparently I missed that bit on the menu as it was in fact written. I asked the waitress (A) whether it’s possible to replace the fries with ones that have no cheese on it, to which I was answered with a disrespectful “should’ve stated it earlier” and an eye roll, to which I responded with “Sorry I missed it” and asked again if it’s possible to replace”. After the “should’ve” comment and the eye roll, the waitress walked away and a minute later came back with new fries, this time with no cheese on it. She just left it there and walked away.

When another waitress (B) walked by,she asked if she could take our empty dishes away and I made sure to tell her to also take the fries with cheese, as I replaced those and didn’t eat them at all - she ignored.

As the bill came - I’ve noticed the fries were added separately for another 5 euros or so, and when I asked the waitress (B) she started arguing over the replacement.

The waitress (B) called the one that gave me the fries (A) and asked her about it with anger, to which waitress (A) responded “yes, it was a misunderstanding, it’s okay”.

Than the other rude waitress said the most disrespectful ”Really?” ever and gave us new bill with such gross manner.

The water we drank were also on the bill for some reason (never happens where i’m from but might be a Finnish thing I guess?), while no one told us it would . We were also charged per person for the water even tho one of us didn’t drink anything at the restaurant.

Also, just in general, 33 euros for a 200g hamburger, fries, and drink is ripoff, but that again might just be me.

TL;DR Super rude waitresses, super expensive food for no reason, definitely not worth it. Eat at the zero point for half the price and twice...

Excellent food, the steak was some of the best we have ever had. The restaurant also had a lovely atmosphere and was very comfortable. Unfortunately, as per other reviews, the service did not match the food. There did not appear to be anyone in charge of service and at times this resulted in there either being 3 or 0 waiting staff attending the same table. Getting drinks was quite challenging. Not everyone wants a bottle of wine with their meal (wine in Finland is incredibly expensive). This fact appeared to brand us as a table that wasn't worth the effort which was disappointing. Having said all this, we would return for the food...

We loved this restaurant. The food was amazing!!!! Escargo to start & Steak with sweet potato fries, LA burger & rustic chips, minute child's steak and chips & cucumber for my v v v picky 7 year old. The setting was lovely, candlelit, spacious. The staff were all attentive even though it was busy on New Year's Day. Thankyou so much for charging my phone too!!! We came to Levi last year & loved it so much we came back this year & we will keep coming back! The wine was lush too. Seriously can't fault this place.
