Afrodite Greek Tavern — Restaurant in Turku sub-region

I want to come back to Turku only to eat in this amazing restaurant 😍 Everything was delicious! We started with Greek lemon soda, very bubbly and fresh. As main course I chose the Moshati Lemonato and my boyfriend the Spetzofai. The meat in these dishes was so tender! And the Spetzofai's sausage was so delicious that I had to steal it from my boyfriend 😁 The portions are very generous, but we were so hungry that day, that we decided to order another dish to share. We were not sure so we asked the owner for a suggestion and he told us to try the Grill Mix 😋 We loved it! In the plate there were two skewers (pork and chicken meat), meatball, tomatoes, a small delicious pie, French fries, Gyro meat, Tzatziki sauce and Pita bread! We literally emptied the plate😁

And since there's always a little space for dessert, we were very curious to try the Walnut Kataifi. These Kataifi rolls were so good and crunchy along with the chopped walnuts filling. Aside the rolls there was also a delicious ice cream, whipped cream and a syrup. We also tried the coffee frappè! The owner was so thoughtful and gentle to ask us if we wanted it low-medium-high sweetness. Something I've never seen in any other restaurant. For one day we ate as if we were in our home countries again. We're from Italy and France, so we really felt at home. The atmosphere in the restaurant is lovely and the restaurant very colourful and Mediterranean looking. 🥰 What to say, the next time we'll come to Turku, we'll make sure to pay a visit again. Afrodite catered our wedding earlier this month for 120 guests, and the food was absolutely FANTASTIC. On top of that, we couldn’t have asked for a nicer team to cater our wedding. The whole Afrodite team is warm, friendly, funny, reliable, and professional.

We had only vegetarian food at our wedding, and while Greek cuisine is often known for its meat dishes, Afrodite delivered far better vegetarian options than any other caterer we spoke with, and at a great price too! We can only imagine how incredible their meat dishes must be.

We highly recommend visiting their restaurant for authentic Greek food, and if you’re planning an event and need catering, definitely reach out to them, you won’t regret it!

Walked by the restaurant one weekend and got excited since I've waited for a authentic Greek taverna to open up in Turku. Checked their Instagram and realized that an old acquaintance was in charge of the service staff, that sealed the deal, I needed to try their food!

Went for take away gyros plate on a thursday and it was the best I've had outside of Greece! The hospitality was out of this world and the staff made the whole experience great.
