Fabbes Cafe — Restaurant in Turku sub-region

I'm a regular customer in Fabbes since it was opened. It is an atmospheric place with a good food, I bring visitors there for lunch to share experience with them. For food choices, typically two sets are available, vegetarian and non-vegetarian one. On Thursdays they have pea soup and most importantly pancakes that are the best in the area in my opinion. They have excellent cakes, both traditional ones and the ones with unusual but very good combination of ingredients. We ordered cakes for office on occasions and they have always been the best choice compared to the competitors. They offer various kinds of coffee, tea and soft drinks. Coffee is great, besides classical espresso, cappuccino and latte they have own recipes definitely worth a try. I know many people drop by Fabbes to enjoy a dessert and coffee and especially the atmosphere. The café has art for sale hung on the walls from time to time and sometimes I witnessed a musical performance. They open a terrace in summer time and have a special treat for the customers on a rainy day. It is a very popular place therefore it can be rather crowded during the lunch time so choose time wisely, maybe you can opt a breakfast or late lunch or just drop by on a quiet hour to enjoy a cup of a...

Cozy atmosphere and quick service. Unfortunately I wasn't a fan of the food. I had the Thursday lunch option, vegan avocado pasta. I ended up with overcooked pasta noodles that managed to taste sour, very bitter and spicy all at once. The accompanying pancakes had a slightly sweet flavour but a mushy texture (and were not accompanied by cream or jam). Sad to say my stomach was a little upset after. I would not get that particular lunch again, but perhaps I would recommend Fabbes as a place for coffee and home...

Good lunch and breakfast for a fair price! Fantastic baked goods, and cakes are out of this world. The selection of cakes changes from day to day. One of the few places to start working early in the morning and serve good breakfast.
