Went there for a valentine's date today and it was absolutely perfect. Upon arrival every table had 2 beautiful roses on them as a compliment of the house. We ended up ordering the valentine's day special tasting menu, which was a bit more pricey (49€)than we wanted to spend at first, but let me tell you. Worth every single cent and then some. Trying to recall from memory to my best ability, there were 7 different delicious dishes and a welcome drink: -Bellini drink -Porcini soup(that alone I would've easily paid 49€ for, perfect taste) -Antipasti to share, good combination of meat, fish and different veggies. The grilled goat cheese piece with cloudberry was the absolute best. -Risotto with tiger shrimp (surprisingly big portion for a tasting menu) -Tuna dish(better description in the picture) -Veal inside a crunchy super tasty dumpling with mozarella sauce and reduced red wine sauce -Cucumber foam with some lemony icy thing. I usually hate cucumber smoothies etc, but they managed to make me like this! -Heart-shaped cake + ice cream (see picture)
All in all, I was super satisfied with my experience there, the price was very much on point for the amount of delicious food we got, staff was very friendly and patient, food was epic and the waiting times were not bad at all considering they were fully booked. Would love to eat there again!
Best regards Paco and the staff! Thank you! Could not have picked a better spot for this...
Read moreSuch a disappointment. The food is ranging from excellent to average, the dessert being the weakest in the offering. The 5 courses "surprise" menu is simply the same dish selection for starter, main and dessert than other menus, so it's a real let down. The pastas are really good, the pressed lamb too. A fair mention for the salmon soup,amuse-bouche and sorbet. So overall, the food is fine though it's probably better to stick with the à la carte menu. Now for the really annoying bits: The place is really noisy and the tables are too small with way too many. The staff looks very disorganized. There are simply too many tables, so forget about the fine dining the place tries to convey, it's unfortunately a total failure. The service was poor, polite but completely impersonal and careless (just pick up what can be from the micro tables please), making us feel the volume of customers is a finality which is confirmed when seeing customers accepted long after the kitchen is supposedly close. A Saturday evening, but still. We spent 2 hours and a half and lot of it was waiting for dishes particularly the main, 40 minutes wait. The restaurant should advertise what it actually is, a bistro, and focus on the customers rather than...
Read moreNot worth the wait. From ordering it took nearly 1h to get even drinks to table. We had a group of 8 persons (4 kids). Adults ordered 5 course tasting menu with wine menu. In 2h mark we had gotten only second dish and kids were totally done already. No communication from the restaurant side why the delay. Later owner/manager explained that 6-8PM is a difficult time for them and we arrived 730PM. Waitress could have told us on the expected wait so that we could have ordered differently.
It took nearly 3h to get out from the restaurant without any delay from our side. When total invoice is well over 200€ from 2 adults and 2 kids you'd expect good food and decent service, but now it was super slow, some dishes were grossly overcooked and some had been waiting for too long (my dessert icecream was mostly a pond of molten cream when I got that). In general food was OK, but just OK, nothing more. Also the wine menu was served whenever, in worst case it came after I had eaten the dish where the wine was meant to be.
I wish I could have given higher rating, but this is closer to two stars than four 😟 I hope all the best for the team, but will not be...
