Now, I rarely post negative reviews, but when someone’s behavior is truly unacceptable, I feel the need to call it out—for their sake and for the improvement of the restaurant. Yesterday, after a full day of skiing, we decided to grab a quick lunch at Alessandro. I understand that restaurants can be full, and a simple, polite ‘sorry we are full’ would have been enough for us to move along.
However, what we encountered instead was the rudest staff member we have ever come across. A blonde woman, likely the manager and probably in her 40s, treated us with blatant disrespect. From the moment she saw our ski outfits, it was clear she had no intention of accommodating us—fine, that’s her prerogative, but she could have handled it with even a shred of professionalism. Instead, she made it glaringly obvious that this restaurant doesn’t welcome people in ski gear.
When we asked if she could recommend another place to eat, she responded with a dismissive, terrible face and said something along the lines of, ‘I don’t know, without a reservation, nowhere’.
Her attitude alone ensures that we will never return, and I’ll be advising everyone I know to avoid this restaurant entirely. Such unprofessionalism is completely...
Read moreWe arrived at an empty balcony with over 20 tables. We sat down at a six-seater table to have space for our ski/snowboard gear. Promptly, a grumpy waiter interrupted us, asking how many we were. When we said three, he looked at the table, then at us, back at the table, and again at us. He then enlightened us with the most profound information: "There are six seats and you are three." He wondered why we would presume this could be acceptable in an almost empty restaurant. Baffled but enlightened, we were moved to a four-seater table right next to a few rowdy Welsh lads who were constantly swearing with every bite.
Cut a long story short...
My two ski friends got sick, probably because there was no running water in the restaurant. Why stay open if the chef can't wash his hands after wiping!?
I had a calzone which was actually good, but i have a strong stomach, my 2 friends are Skiers!
The Grumpy Waiter was still grumpy when we left and was grumpy with everyone so wasnt just us...
The Welsh lads were no longer rowdy once they received their bill!
As we left, there were 2 people occupying the 6 seater we were initially denied.
All in all a great experience never to...
Read moreToday I took my family for lunch. To say I was disappointed was an understatement. We have been here on previous years but something has changed. Service bordered on rude. Meals came sporadically and my husbands meal, which was supposed to be pasta with lasagne meatballs looked like a bowl of slop and was barely warm. There were loads of waiting staff but no service. The way in which tables had been squeezed in meant staff constantly bumping into us, without a single apology. I don't mind paying high prices for quality of food and service. This was neither and as the customer we were made to feel an inconvenience.
After many years of coming here we will not be returning. We will also advise our...
