We loved the atmosphere and the beer was good the first time, so after having been at Grizzly's bar once before, we decided to go there for lunch. We were NOT greeted by a waiter with a black cap and light brown timberland shoes. He just showed up at our table and asked: "qu'est-ce que vous voulez?" When we asked for a menu he literally sighed and without saying anything else, just left, leaving us wondering whether he was planning on returning. Finally, he came back after fifteen minutes and dropped the menu on the table without uttering a word. We should have left at that point, because he was apparently only able to be friendly to tables with french speaking women that he knew personally. In the end we were hungry so, we ordered four grizzly burgers and they forgot to bring any sauces. We had to ask twice for some sauce. The food in itself was ok, but 30 euros for one burger is quite expensive, I find. After the meal, we ordered a coffee each, which were "forgotten". It wasn't even that busy that day so... no excuse to forget a part of our order twice! When we asked where our coffee was, the waiter reacted visually irritated... the coffees were brought together with the bill and we were asked to go pay inside even though the guy who brought us the bill was literally carrying around a card payment terminal in his hand. I would not recommend going there to be honest. Very...
Read moreQuite an interesting bar/shop since you see the carved bears out front. It had a really large outdoor area with quite a few seats inside too. The decor inside is very interesting, almost like a winder wonderland bear cave with plenty of furs strewn on wooden furniture. It was easy to notice after heading down close to the base of the Tufs chair. The menu has quite a few options including BBQ meats, cooked in the outdoor grill. We ended up sharing a plate of the wings and the sausages. The sausages had options of normal or spicy and we were able to get a mix plate of both. The spicy wasn't that spicy though. The dishes were nice but it was quite expensive, almost 20 euros for 4 sausages. It was served with potatoes and salad. What was really good was their chocolat viennois. The Chantilly had the right amount of sweetness to make the chocolate sweet and creamy. The chocolate chaund itself had a nice chocolately flavour. They also were bringing trays of desserts for people to pick from but it didn't happen for us. We were seated on the far side of the outdoor area so it took a while to get the attention of the waiters to get the bill. Nice place but quite expensive as you can get plat de jour deals for the same price. It was an interesting experience though, especially going inside the restaurant. They also had a small shop on...
Read moreWow, what a wonderful and very eclectic place, certainly coming here again.
We didn't have a meal, but enjoyed great service being looked after by great staff while enjoyed very nice wine.
How I Mark. I may mark differently to some other reviewers, some might see this as harsh, others may see it as fair. But here's how I look at it:
5 star - WOW. I want to go back and look forward to doing so. They delivered everything expected and more. The 'more' is normally about the service or attitude of the staff. 4 star - GOOD. They delivered everything I wanted and a bit more. I recommend them and would go back. 3 star - OK. They delivered what I expected, I would go back if I needed to, although don't currently plan on doing so. 2 star - Not very good. I didn't get what I expected and the service wasn't good. I don't recommend this place. I might get dragged back here, although will always try to avoid it 1 star - RUBBISH. Don't go there, I certainly won't go there again. I didn't get what I wanted, the people were unhelpful and I didn't enjoy...
