Mylk Tea Café — Restaurant in Annecy

Sadly, there is no option for 0 stars so I’m being generous by giving one star 🙂 Where do I start? The food is very overpriced for the amount you get. Perhaps if it tasted nice, at least that could make up for the rude staff, and stingy portion sizes. The eggs were terrible - 2 small boiled eggs which the staff were too lazy to take out of the box which they came in! The ‘bread sticks’ were so thin they could literally be blown away by the wind! In fact, they tried to balance them with the eggs and in the process fell off onto the floor as you tried to move whatever attempted piece of ‘modern art’ they were attempting, miserably, to create. So we couldn’t even eat them. The matcha cake was dry and they were stingy with the amount of matcha they put in so you couldn’t even taste the matcha. Only redeeming thing was the coffee - genuinely tasted okay, however was still very small and over priced. The hot chocolate had no flavour either. Now I get that there is a cost of living crisis and things are getting more expensive, but this was taking it to the next level! PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE! Terrible service. It was a sunday morning when all places are full of people. We occupied the last free table at Mylk Tea Cafe. The place is calm and a little aside the touristic route. The service is very fast, although it was a big group of people at the same time. The waiter was very helpful and always smiling. The menu of brunch offers a big variety of ingredients- eggs, salmon, cheese, falafel etc. The toast of black bread with seeds was very tasty. Yogurt with granola is particularly delicious. I also recommend the crumbles with apple and apricot. What can be improved is amount of food. In comparison with brunches in other places in Annecy this brunch is modest. The chef could put more salad or vegetables that are not expensive but create an image of a big portion. It is worth to add cafe latte or cafe capuchino in the brunch menu, not offer...

Malheureusement un gros problème de service. Je ne me suis pas sentie à l'aise du tout. La serveuse n'était pas très aimable. Elle n'a pas essuyé la table, m'a apporté mon assiette sans couverts et sans me préciser qu'ils étaient à prendre en libre service. Je ne suis pas habituée, je ne le savais pas. De manière générale, je la trouvais froide, je n'osais rien demander, et malheureusement elle n'était pas attentive comme un serveur doit l'être. J'avais l'impression de déranger. Quand j'ai commandé, j'ai eu droit à un "C'est tout ?!" un peu malpoli. Pas un "Ce sera tout ?" poli. Quand j'ai eu terminé mon assiette, elle n'est pas venue débarrasser. Elle a installé une famille, puis elle est revenue prendre leur commande, puis elle leur a apporté leur commande. Pendant tout ce temps-là, elle n'est pas venue me voir une seule fois ni ne m'a jeté un regard. Vu qu'elle n'était pas très agréable, je n'osais pas l'appeler. Vraiment une grosse impression de déranger. Quand j'ai vu qu'elle s'était installée pour manger et que donc elle m'avait "abandonnée" sans retirer mon assiette ni me demander si je voulais un dessert (alors que j'avais fini de manger depuis 15 min), j'ai été choquée. Les autres clients ont été débarrassés et on leur a apporté le dessert puis elle s'est assise pour manger mais moi j'ai été complètement zappée. La collègue de la serveuse, derrière le comptoir, n'a pas bougé donc j'ai ramené mon assiette moi-même et commandé au comptoir directement un Ube latte car je voulais vraiment le tester. J'avais prévu de prendre une pâtisserie mais ça m'a coupé l'envie et c'est vraiment pour moi le signe que l'expérience m'a refroidie. J'ai bu mon Ube latte, j'ai payé au comptoir et je suis partie. Je n'ai pas aimé l'experience et ça ne valait pas le coup d'aller jusqu'à là-bas pour tester le Ube. Je n'ai pas trouvé de respect ni même de bienveillance ou simplement de prévenance pour le client. Il y a un problème de service ou d'organisation. Je précise que le restaurant était quasi vide, donc vraiment pas un problème lié au fait d'être débordé (je suis toujours plus clémente dans ce cas-là). Le service m'a totalement occulté la nourriture. L'assiette de saumon était bonne sans rien de spécial. Pas d'efforts de présentation.

Je ne recommande pas. Une impression forte qu'il n'y a pas de plaisir à servir...
