Cutest hotel I have ever stayed! The room is small in size, although it’s like 15square meter, they did good jobs with the use of space. 2 suitcases and 2 big people fit well. Desk and small cupboard were well positioned, but some hooks and a small armchair might do better. The shower is tiny and you don have leg room to squat down to wash your feet, and the design of shower booth is weird and water will be everywhere after shower. Also bad smell comes out of the drain and whole room stinks!!!!!! :-( There is air conditioning and large window to have the air out, which helps a bit but seriously stink so much. Breakfast is basic, continental without warm food at all. Ok for €10 but crowded because the size of the breakfast room is way small. Staff is super friendly and helpful, very diligent as well, but not cleaning wise. Don’t get me wrong, it was clean when we arrived, but the cleaning service while we were staying wasn’t any, stinking and damp.
There is no tea making facilities, no fridge, bad internet connection, and small bed (double bed).
The area was noisy with the station nearby and constant noise from local buses sounding like trams, but becomes quiet at night, which is excellent. Safe area on a big road, and close to tourist attractions.
It is small and cute hotel. Overall I would have been happier if the drainage...
Read moreI don't really write reviews, but I honestly couldn't recommend this hotel more.
I had a tiny room, but it was on the top floor and overlooked the city and mountains. It had all you can really need, including a heater to dry clothes. The shower is great too. The old building even has an elevator.
The staff was so kind and considerate. They explained all the surrounding areas and places of interest, while considering my preferences. Jurgen was the sweetest night staff who welcomed me with the kindest conversations every time I came and left. They even have umbrellas you can borrow, and you can store anything you need at the reception. I even left my bike there for a night, and Jurgen had it ready for me in the morning. The cleaning lady respected my privacy, and even when I told her later that she doesn't have to pass by since I don't need anything, she still waited until I was gone to make my bed and give me fresh towels and new bottles of shampoo.
The hotel feels insanely safe, since there is someone there 24/7 to greet you and the door is locked at night.
It's also a 5 minute walk to the lake and to the center of the city. And a 4 minute walk from the train station.
I honestly have no complaints and only good things to say. It was a pleasure...
Read moreThe hotel is in a great location near the station, centre of town and lake. The beds are very comfortable, room was spotless and all the staff we met were very friendly. The bedroom had everything we needed. It is compact and the shower room ensuite is tight, but for the price per night it was bright, clean, comfortable and really well decorated with a great use of space. There was a shutter to the window which was great as it blocked all the light and we really slept well. The hotel has bags of character and a lift which, yes is small, but does the job. If you're after lots of space, spend a lot more money or stay somewhere less convenient to the town. If you want a lovely, clean, comfortable and friendly hotel which doesn't cost the earth and isn't a square box where you could be anywhere in the world, you...
