I'll start off by saying the restaurant was understaffed, so it's understandable the servers were struggling, but even considering that, it was a terrible experience.
entrees: bruschette with salami: the bread was old, stale, not nice at all, and the salami was oversalted. oeuf perfetto: nice dish, but it was very overpriced for just an egg in some zucchini cream.
mains: fish: was served raw, and was also oversalted pasta: a bit undercooked, and generally underwhelming
Now if it were just the food, I might have given 3 stars just because I felt sorry for the servers having to run a full terrace (which needed at least 3 servers, maybe 4) with just the two of them. However, next to that, our drinks consistently came after food was served, and the server did not even wait to take a drink order when he served us our mains and our glasses were empty. Because the fish was raw, it had to be taken back, so we did not eat our mains at the same time. When we commented on this, the server just responded that 'at least the fish was fixed' so it's no big deal, right?
At the very least we expected to get some drinks taken off the bill because of all of this, but we had to pay full price (78 euros) for what was, to be frank, a very basic below average dinner, and a stain on our lovely...

We asked our hotel for a recommendation for a nice Italian restaurant. Café Roma was their suggestion. The restaurant is a bit hard to find. It is located behind the Palace of the Popes, next to a movie theater. They offer a nice patio seating area. We were very surprised by the menu as it is not a typical Italian restaurant. They offer a limited selection of unique specialties. It turned out to be a surprisingly and enjoyable dinner. We shared a risotto that was not made with rice but with bulger wheat. It was excellent. The main courses were also creative. I had a fish that was one the best I had during our trip. My wife had a “Burrata Burger” with a side of grilled potatoes. Her dish was really different an enjoyable. Overall, I would highly...
Read moreThe place is gorgeous and the general ambiance is good, BUT do not come on a Sunday, at the moment we came (even if we called before hand) they only give you a menu for Brunch (without telling you beforehand), even if the rest of the individual dishes are available, and when you ask for the individual menu they come and tell you that they will give you prices only if you ask because the server has the prices on a tablet, which puts you in a pressure because you have to ask for every item one by one.
The food was good but not spectacular for this kind of process to actually be worth it.
Also, we had to wait for more than 10 minutes to be able to have...
