We had a wonderful dinner at Restaurant Aime in Avignon. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed, yet everything feels carefully thought out and refined. The cooking strikes that perfect balance between creativity and comfort — each dish beautifully presented but never fussy.

Two highlights really stood out: the leeks, which were prepared with such depth of flavor and finesse that they completely redefined what a simple ingredient can be, and the gnocchi, which were pillowy, perfectly cooked, and paired with a sauce that tied the whole dish together elegantly. Both plates captured the spirit of the restaurant — taking classic elements and elevating them into something memorable.

Please note that this restaurant has only one chef and one waiter who only proactively adds bread for regular customers — they do not have the capacity to handle many customers, yet they overconfidently accepted too many. This directly led to us waiting nearly ONE hour to receive appetizers and then waiting another 40 minutes for the main course.

Our main dish, the duck, was poorly prepared and very undercooked, making it bloody and hard to eat. This made it the first meal we couldn't finish during our entire stay in France. Absolutely fantastic restaurant, definitely the highlight of our visit to Avignon and possibly one of the best restaurants I've been to. I rarely leave reviews but this was one of the few dining experience I felt deserved glowing praise. The menu features fresh ingredients, creative cooking, great wine, and generous portions in a cozy, relaxed, and friendly atmosphere.
