le Coffee de l'Imprimerie — Restaurant in Beaune

This is an amateur show. I can't understand the great reviews posted by others. There are basically 2 employees, the young pleasant woman at the main counter, and a grumpy cook that's pretending to know what to do. The place and people are totally disorganized, don't even have the basic items at hand for a simple coffee shop (ie, sugar, salt, pepper, napkins, etc.). Greatly overpriced and small portions. Others have raved about the coffee, but it was quite poor even compared to common tabac/cafes found on every street corner. The omelette was to have 3 eggs but was made with only 2 and totally tasteless. The cook brought it and plunked the plate down on the table without a word and abruptly left. Zero courtesy, zero manners.

The washroom had only a single small face cloth for people to dry their hands with. So stupid of them. Haven't they heard of the Covid pandemic? Even so, who would share the use of a small towel with everyone in a restaurant bathroom? Will...

This is a delightful, and yet unexpected eatery. Located on a non-descript street in the city of Beaune, it feels like walking into somebody’s kitchen. It has a great menu, with local home cooked recipes, and a relaxed ambient atmosphere. The staff were more than happy to accommodate our food intolerances, such as gluten, vegan and dairy. This cafe is a true find! A little bit off the beaten track, it is worth a detour! The large marble table in the center of the kitchen showed what the focus of the cafe is… we came for a croissant and a cappuccino, but left with a belly full of delicacies including home-made sausages and incredible sauces they serve them with… you can tell the chef used to work in Michelin starred...
