Space Factory - craft beer — Restaurant in Bordeaux

If you're a beer geek and need a break from wine when visiting Bordeaux, Jaqen Craft Beer is what you're looking for. They have about 10 beers on tap (prices range from €4-7/pint) and are happy to let you have a taste of anything you like to make sure you find a beer you'll enjoy. Although it's not a very big space, the atmosphere is modern, relaxed and social. What's more is that if you can't find a beer you like on draft, they have an excellent selection of beers in the fridge. I actually found a beer that I wanted to try on their beer wall and they were kind enough to put it in the fridge while I enjoyed one of their draft beers. Buy the time I finished it, the beer in the fridge was chilled and ready for me to enjoy. It's an excellent craft beer bar that I highly recommend.

I had taken the tram out to Chartrons and was walking back into the city in 37° heat. A beer seemed tge.perfect way go cool down but where to get a dark non lager beer? I browsed and read a review for this place saying that there was excellent stout. Using google maps I eventually found it. It had opened at 5pm and by now it was 5.20 p.m. Perfect! I was greeted warmly and I asked for stout/porter. I was given a glass of water and tge guy ecplained that he was getting the quiz ready for that evening. Fair enough.....he turned back to his laptop and I waited, and waited. 13 minutes later with no further communication and his back still...

Just a follow-up: The baton has been passed to new owners who are still doing a great job with Space Factory! Love it. Fantastic, flavorful craft beers, a good selection of foods to accompany, and a library of games to pass some time with friends. We were away for a while, not by choice, but we'll be back soon!

Good selection of great beers! Although I love Bordeaux for its wines, it's comforting to have found a nice spot for a great craft beer for a refreshing change of pace. Keep up the great work, Cedric...
