Restaurant L'incontournable — Restaurant in Colmar-Ribeauvillé

We booked reservation for my wife’s and my anniversary due to high review ratings and recommendations and were severely disappointed with both the food and the service. Our first course of pate and salad was good... but we waited over an hour and a half for our plated main courses of lamb and beef. The lamb had so much fat it was sickening to eat and my wife’s beef was so tough you could not cut it with a knife.We watched two other parties come in over 30 minutes after we arrived and were served 3 course meals and were finished and out the door when we were just receiving our main course. We felt ignored service wise compared to other parties in the restaurant and somewhat discriminated against. I would not recommend to any tourist looking for a quality French Restaurant and feel the restaurant is severely...

This is such an amazing restaurant that simple words cannot describe it. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. For my starter, I didn’t know leeks can taste so good. The parsnip garnishing the dessert (which I’ve never seen before) was the most delicious parsnip I ever had in my life. Entree, my chicken main course, dessert were superb. However the star of my meal was undoubtedly the Eric Rominger Riesling white wine I had which sent chills down my spine at how smooth and awesome it was! We stopped without a reservation. The man said to wait and told us nothing about not having a table for us. We waited with my 93 mother for about 10 minutes with no other information so we assumées that they were getting a table ready. We finally asked and after all this time, the waiter said that there is no space. There was no language issue as my mother speaks perfect French.
