We chose this cute place for our last meal of our anniversary trip to Europe, and it was not a mistake. The restaurant was warm and cozy inside and very nicely decorated. Our waitress didn't speak English and we only know maybe four words of Francais, but it worked out well! I ordered the fleischschnacka, and it came in a very flavourful broth. I think that's how it's supposed to be, although my only other time ordering this dish had come plated dry with tomatoes on top and potatoes on the side. I much prefer the saucy version. They were really good, except one of the two was mostly pasta and not enough meat. It came with a small green salad that was dressed with a very nice sweetish dressing. My husband ordered the pork cheeks in pinot noir sauce and it was soooo good! Superbly tender and sweet and savory. He had a choice of fries or spaetzle, and of course, we got the spaetzle. Finished the meal with a couple of espressos. It was the perfect last meal. There's a whole story in the beginning of the menu that explains how the restaurant came to be. Google Translate could not adequately translate it for us. Would be very interested to hear from someone else what it says!

I was a bit hesitant due to some mixed reviews but was glad we came. The food was great. Bone marrow was super rich. You need to wait 20 minutes for it and it comes out piping hot. Pate was was very good as well as the pickled slaws which accompany it. For mains we had the smoked goose with choucroute and frog legs in a Riesling sauce. Frog legs are bony by nature so just be aware and the Riesling sauce was nice, also rich. Smoked good and choucroute was well made and hearty. I would consider to give it 5* but want to give singable expectations. Inside it is a bit tacky but has a homey feel to it. One thing is I wish the wine list was better. We ordered a grand cru which they did not have which I hate considering there are thousands of wines produced in the immediate area. No excuse not to have a wine list with wines that you actually have.

Considering how difficult it was to find an open restaurant on the 1st of January, this particular restaurant was pretty good. Welcoming personal, amazing rustic decoration. Local wine and dishes. Friendly stuff. However, when my friends expressed disappointment in their "fake" ("revisited" is what they called it) Forest Noir/Black Forest cake, they didn't take criticism very well :) I personally ordered "cafe gourmand" (see the photo) which was decently OK 👍

Worst food I’ve ever had in a restaurant. My husband and I wanted to have a nice meal when we arrived in Colmar after a long trip, and since most restaurants were already full we decided to give Flory a try. The restaurant was a bit hidden in a side street, so we thought maybe it would be less touristic. We ordered a cold cuts plate as a starter, salted beef cooked in bone broth and steak in Pinot noir sauce and spätzle. When ordering, the waitress asked my husband how he would like his steak and he said rare. The food was absolutely disgusting, the beef in bone broth was a very bad and chewie cut, completely overcooked and the ‚broth‘ was basically water, with no flavor, salt whatsoever, accompaigned by overcooked potatos. My husbands steak was a joke, tasting old, chewie and overcooked as well and burned and crusty on the outside. The sauce was okay, the Spätzle on the other hand weren‘t properly cooked but more like raw dough reheated in the microwave. When the waiter asked how the food was and I said it was overcooked, his reply was: „well, food needs to be cooked no?“, leaving us even more angry and unsatisfied. Definetely the worst restaurant experience we ever had and so not...
