Atmosphere was nice. In the afternoon we met with possibly the owner that was very nice and suggested we come later in the evening. Luckily we made a reservation…restaurant was busy the whole time. We wated for 10min for our table which is not a problem because it means that there is a high demand for their food. Before the first dish we got a warm not bubbly used to be champagne. As we later understood bad luck was in the stars and we wated another 1h20minutes ..oysters…. Then without any pause we got the next meals….that were extremely mediocre for it’s higher price. Tartare au poisson du jour was a tuna seasoned in an asian style…we hoped to get some local fish and a possibility to taste it’s taste…is the sesame oil hiding the taste from of freezer unfortunately could hide the texture?….. Also why so many asian options? There is an asian restaurant next to you…leave it to them. The seafood salad was a very small portion of mixed overcooked seafood on salad leaves….i suppose it was for the volume because if you would get 3 shells,2 shrimps and one calamari you would be sad…but it was very easy to split with your partner. And last Calamari a la plancha with potato purée…i think even the calamari was sad to be cooked like this. For the dessert we had ,,kicthen is closed”without a warning that there will be no orders anymore soon…
Staff was quite rude at the end of the night. We understand they are tired there was no free tables the whole night and i suppose they had no time to rest….which comes to the question….Shouldn’t you have less tables? Your staff will be happier and the food will be tastier. This restaurant has or had...

A nice place to calm down, relax and have very good lunch. I give this little gem in the old town of St. Tropez five stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Here‘s why:
• nice location („backside“) • very good „formule du jour“ ~ we had tuna tartar, nems, coté de boeuf, calamar, crème brûlée and a small tarte.
All courses were rich in flavour and well prepared. The nems were very good and obviously freshly made. A lovely sauce coming with the beef and an absolutely sensational garlic oil with the calamares.
• good open wine (we had the rosé) • reasonably priced • attentative service • always fresh bread (for the hungry) • friendly manager
Résumé: We are definitely coming...
Read moreLe Petit Pointu is a charming seafood spot in St-Tropez with a lot going for it. The location is excellent, nestled conveniently near the heart of town, making it easy to find and a great choice for a meal after exploring the area.
The food is delicious. The menu offers a delightful variety of fresh fish and seafood, all expertly prepared.
However, the service could be improved. During my visit, there was only one server handling all the tables, which made things a bit slow. While the server was friendly and did his best, the pace of service was noticeably delayed.
Overall, if you're in no rush and looking for good seafood at a fair price, Le Petit Pointu is...
