Restaurant La Renaissance — Restaurant in Draguignan

We were the guests of this restaurant on July 5th. At first we only had drinks as it was still early for dinner. The only server was obviously overworked, but he tried to serve us kindly and we were able to get in 10 minutes before seven in the evening. This is where the real experience began. A tiny blonde waitress asked us what we were doing in the most clumsy way possible, and then graciously allowed us to take a seat. I understand that we are not local, but there is good manners in the world. Taking the order was so amateurish and rude !!! In today's world, someone says she speaks English in a restaurant and you have to say it 3 times, he asks for a Coke because she doesn't understand and even talks back... well, thank you, but I'm not open to that. I'd love to invite her to our place for lunch to show her how to treat guests.I won't complicate the selection of the menu, but you won't find a serious main course on it. My salmon is tasteless, saltless and I'm not 100% sure that it was freshly prepared, and my husband's beef dish is a nicely served tasteless boar stew. I do not recommend this place to anyone. I do not recommend it to Hungarians, Germans, or British people, because although the restaurant is nice and attractive, the food and service are very low level. In any case, it's a disappointment. We ended up in the McDonald‘s. It is interesting that they speak perfect English there. I recommend changing the staff because we received more kindness there for €30 than...

I was eating out alone and though I theoretically blocked a table of four, the service was great. Unlike the previous comments, I wasn’t served by some angry Italian folks but a really nice (Judging by his accent - Dutch) guy called Roger who spoke French fluently (not that I didn’t expect him not to but the reviews suggested the opposite). I had my apple juice in literally two seconds and after I ordered the food it would arrive in maybe 5, 10 minutes. I don’t know how people complain about the prices, as they are normal in St. Tropez. You will basically find the same prices in Paris, too, so I don’t really get the outrage, unless you don’t know St. Tropez in the first place but then - please inform yourself! I ordered the “Souris d’agneau (lamb shank) with homemade purée” and it was delicious (unlike some other experiences I made around Côte d’Azur). Roger, I Imagine the Chef de service, was really welcoming and despite serving the food pretty quickly, he had time for a chat with his guests. The other waiters, young men, were just as charming. Normally, I hardly write any reviews but I didn’t think the previous reviews do the place justice. I will definitely come back for the Moelleux...

Je met une étoile car je ne peux pas mettre moins. Nous y sommes allés mangé hier midi... Lorsque nous sommes arrivés ( 2 adultes et deux enfants). nous avons du attendre une éternité avant que l'on nous installe et encore nous nous sommes installés seul car le serveur nous a montré une table du doigt... J'ai eu le temps de faire manger ma petite fille de 19 mois avant que l'on daigne nous donner une carte.... Et encore c'est mon mari qui l'a réclamé.... Mon garçon a pris une demi pizza salade (10,50 euros ) et nous avons pris le plat du jour + boisson à 16 euros. Le plat était encornet farci. Dans une assiette à soupe arrive notre encornet jeté sur du riz en sauce tomate. Le riz était plus que bouilli et la farce de l'encornet était difficilement identifiable... Un truc vert ... Nous aurions mieux fait de manger un petit pot à ma fille... Pour résumé je pense que les plats surgelés ont meilleur saveur ! La pizza a peu près correct mais extrêmement chere .... Les serveurs sont désagréable au possible, je pense qu'ils ne savent pas sourire en fait et l'amabilité n'est vraiment pas au rendez vous ! J'ai voulu aller aux toilettes... On aperçoit donc l'état des cuisines... Sale voir immonde... Les WC n'en parlons pas .. Pour payer l'addition nous avons du attendre une éternité le paton derrière son bar avec son tee shirt crasseux n'a même pas daigné me regarder pour le paiement .. On se demande comment un établissement comme cela reste ouvert... Quel dommage de trouver un lieu pareil à Saint tropez ! En allant à St Tropez on sait pertinemment que l'on va payer cher OK mais à condition que cela vaille le coup ! La c'est un bouiboui dégoûtant et crasseux ! Une cannette d'ice tea vaut tout de même 5,40 euros !!!! Alors que sur le port nous avons payé la moitié !!. Si vous avez très faim sur la placette en face du manège il y a une baraque qui vends des sandwich je pense qu'il vaut mieux s'y arrêter que de s'installer dans cette soi disant brasserie...
