Not a great experience i would say. We were family group with 3 kids. Reached around 10pm and faced kind of discrimination which you usually get from Indian restaurants "you read it right" when you are travelling with kids and go to an Indian Restaurant but the owner might be preferring foreigners.
Owner was sitting near the bill desk making instructions to order in one go - atleast 3 times during our stay of 1hr or so. Asked for vegetarian options, rude server said: everything is in the menu, can't you see (ok!! we are sorry buddy no english/french knowledge-We are from Hindi speaking land).
About food: Food was ok not great enough to tolerate or moderate this review. Since it was just one time and we were out of options so ate even with this behavior.
Request to proprietor : Kindly say no immediately when someone you see Indian or same geography and you do not want to host them. This is not so welcome when you say yes to someone to come-in and then treat them with rude behaviour and attitude. We are not eating for free or with discount and paying equal 😏 (not demanding any favour or soemthing like that). Attaching the receipt of the payment we made. Sir, even of you write apology about your behavior, this is not gonna change the image you created in our mind and even to our little teenagers in foriegn land where you are suppose to promote Athithi devo bhav.
In short: never recommend you for food, no options for 0...
Read moreI don’t think I’ve ever been to a restaurant where the staff and the owner were so rude, disrespectful and terrible. We literally had to leave without even ordering because of how the owner (presumably) talked to us. He dismissed us when we ordered two starters and a dessert saying that it is a “classical” restaurant (we were the only customers there at the time), not a fast food joint and if we wish to be served, we have to order at least two more dishes and now because he will only take the order once (since we were two people). When we said that we don’t want a full meal and just some snacks before dinner, he was so utterly disrespectful that it left me aghast. I even said to him that you’re so disrespectful, this can’t be how you treat customers. He just asked us to go away if we didn’t want to order and pay more. I usually refrain from writing reviews of eating joints because sometimes someone may have a bad experience and that wouldn’t reflect the spirit of the establishment. But, in this case, this man, the owner (presumably) should be held accountable for his awful behavior. This establishment should be boycotted until the rude staff gets some manners and training in how to treat customers. I’ve travelled around the world and this is the first such experience I’ve had. I...
Read moreWe visited Jaipur in Cannes hoping for a cozy Indian dinner — and while the food was good, the overall experience was deeply disappointing due to the owner’s behavior.
The restaurant itself is small and welcoming, with a warm and authentic Indian atmosphere. However, shortly after we arrived, the owner received a personal phone call and answered it on speakerphone, right there in the dining area. What followed was several minutes of loud children crying and a woman shouting in the background. It was disruptive and frankly made us want to leave.
We decided to stay only because our drinks had already been served. The food that followed was tasty and well-prepared, but the lack of professionalism was impossible to overlook.
Regardless of the food quality, I cannot recommend a place where the owner shows such disregard for the guests’ experience. Unfortunately, this visit deserves no more than 2...
