My visit was today at 19h30 ! The restaurant was almost empty most client were seated outside ! We arrive and ask to be seated inside on a sofa as all table were empty! First the lady at the entrance asked how many of us...it was quite obvious we were 3 in front of her, no other clients waiting...I reply 3 and she then said when is the 3rd one coming ...very surprised I said the 3rd one is the child with us who was standing in front of her eyes...then she claimed no sofa available as all reserved for later on...really ??????? All the sofa at 19h30 are all reserved !!!!!! A real joke...after insisting she finally said she can put us at the very last table of the restaurant were we had the view of the McDonald's ! We wanted to be seated in the middle or front of restaurant but not giving our back to the restaurant ! She then claimed that's the only option ! At this stage we are refused to seat down knowing I am 39 weeks pregnant...with a grandmother and little boy ! What a disgusting manner! I was told the person in charge was Barbara who took that decision ! When I asked how she refuses to let us seat down she was answering like à robot and never apologyzing and repeating the same thing over and over ! Then I decided to tell them that was unacceptable and against the law to refuse à family to seat down while the full restaurant was still empty! None of the table had the sign reserved on them ! A real shame for that restaurant ! We arrived very early so we can find à nice table but with empty tables we were still refused to seat down ! Then the so called "manager" arrived and was also claiming tables are empty but all reserved for later on...never apologised and was patronizing me saying I should understand their policy and not ask for further information ! He was very unpleasant and towards the end he just left as if he was à King ! I have been observing that so called "Manager" over the years at this restaurant and he never welcome clients or says hello ! He never comes to the clients table to check if everything is alright ! All he does is observing the staff and having very serious facial expression as if he was ready to fight with someone ! This is not à restaurant manager to me he should enrol in the military department this is where he belongs ! Very unprofessional, zero costumers service skills ! A real shame to have to experience that when we decided to go out for a nice and fun dinner ! I am in shock of such behavior ! Can't believe how bad we were treated and request the owner to observe the way the management is treating the clients! They are doing a very bad job no doubt for that ! Some people need to seriously look for another job but definitely not in a costumer service department ! A real shame ! Alerte...
Read moreSCAM ALERT! I went to this place to have dinner based on the ambiance and the reviews it had. I was offered my seat, the waiter was eagerly pushing me steak for one person cut in pieces. I said I am a meat person but today I want burger. The guy tried convincing but I got what I want.
I had the Jack Daniels burger, water, and coke and the prices are listed in the receipt. Once I am done and asked for the cheque, the waiter came with a card machine and entered 67 euro for my meal. He did not print the ticket, he came with the card machine directly. Now the 67 euro was a shock and I was lost.
I asked what? why? he said the manager changed the prices and the menu had old prices? I said I sat for the price that was on the menu and I would've left if the price was this expensive. I said I wanted to speak with the manager and he said I am the manager. I said no Kidding and I kept insisting this was not OK. He said he will give me discount and give me the price in the menu and then he came with the cheque. I counted and paid. Still was in shock why this whole incident happened and was obnoxious.
While walking out, I went to the ladies in the reception and asked them did you guys change the prices on the menu, they said NO. I asked who is the boss and they gave a description (guy with the suite and long hair), so definitely not the waiter. I explained to them the whole story and I handed them the receipt. Now the actual manger came and he found the extra charge for the fries and he paid me back. This I couldn't get hold due to the whole drama and the manager found this out and helped me.
The ambiance is good, but to have this experience in a sophisticated city in a prime location is horrifying. The guy was very confident that I would fall for this and as a foreigner I didn't expect this cheap incident to happen in Cannes. To have someone in the job who is a con is sick. I hope the management took the necessary action but I don't care anymore.
I will advise you to stay away from this place. I informed this to the hotel front desk where I am staying and I asked them to advise guests about this incident and keep the guests away from...
Read moreDuring our visit to Cannes, we decided to stop for lunch at a restaurant right in the heart of the city, surrounded by the elegant shopping streets that the French Riviera is famous for. The location was perfect—easy to reach, close to the boutiques, and ideal for a little break while exploring the city.
We ordered a Caesar salad with bacon, which came in a generous portion. The presentation was neat, and it felt like a complete meal on its own. The chicken was perfectly crunchy, adding a nice texture to every bite, while the bacon gave the salad a smoky flavor that balanced well with the fresh lettuce and creamy dressing. It was definitely filling and satisfying.
To accompany my meal, I ordered a glass of white wine. The wine was crisp, refreshing, and paired beautifully with the salad.—exactly what you’d expect from a lunch in Cannes.
It was filling enough that one of my friends couldn’t actually finish hers and asked the staff to prepare the remaining salad for takeaway. Unfortunately, there was a little mix-up—the staff accidentally threw the salad away instead of packing it up. To make up for the mistake, they kindly offered us two complimentary coffees. It was a thoughtful gesture and showed that the service was attentive and genuinely concerned with customer satisfaction. The coffee itself was rich and smooth, a pleasant surprise to end the meal.
The price, however, was on the higher side. Spending around €100 for three people at lunchtime may feel a bit pricey, but it’s also quite normal for a central spot in Cannes, especially one that offers both convenience and atmosphere. While it wasn’t the most budget-friendly meal, the combination of location, taste, and quality made it worthwhile.
Overall, it was a pleasant lunch experience: tasty food, good wine, nice staff (Anouar) and an easy-to-reach location right in the middle of the city’s shopping area. If you’re exploring Cannes and looking for a place to pause, enjoy a meal, and soak in the Riviera charm, this restaurant makes for a...
