Edit: idgi, 3/5 is objectively not a bad rating? Maybe I could've had more nuance or there are better items on the menu, but it's bewildering to me that there are people in the reviews claiming this is the best bubble tea they've ever had in the world.

Given multiple negative reviews about a chemical-y taste, with the owner objecting that they have quality imported ingredients etc etc., I don't think my original review was disproportionately unkind given the mismatch in expectations I experienced. I don't literally mean the owners are crazy?? I just don't get the rave reviews.

Tbh, pasta straws are cute and all, but I felt a bit nauseous after drinking this, and the taste was reminiscent of what I'd find at corner shops at a fraction of the cost back in like 2008. Maybe I had bad luck, but that was my experience and this review reflects that.

For what it's worth, I personally believe the point of Google reviews is not to leave glowing remarks everywhere, but to set the correct expectations such that future visitors have a good sense of what they'll get.

I’ve finally discovered an authentic bubble tea shop on the Côte d'Azur, even here in France! It tastes just like the bubble tea I had in Thailand, which was a pleasant surprise. I ordered a classic bubble tea with tapioca pearls, and it was absolutely delicious—the perfect blend of flavors and textures. With each sip, I felt like I was transported straight to the Far East.

The service was also exceptional. Sara was warm, welcoming, and ensured everything was perfect. Her friendly attitude really enhanced the overall experience. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality of the drink and the excellent service.
