La Terrace — Restaurant in Grasse

It hurts to write a negative review for this place. We came here before and loved it. This time, we were told we could not simply order dessert and coffee to sit on the terrace. They said we had to order lunch. I love the view, so even though I just ate, I had no problem ordering to support the place. However, when we wanted to pay, we were told they only take cash. They never mentioned this... No signage; nothing posted. I had to walk all the way down to the pharmacy to get cash- then walk all the way back up to pay while they my pregnant wife sat and waited for me.

Not the worst experience ever but it just seems like they don't care. The place was empty. If we could've been allowed to enjoy just the crepe and cappuccino, none of this would have happened and this place would still be my favorite in France. Next time, we will try one of the...

A bit surprised by the negative feedbacks here. We found this place quite randomly just walking by. We had a salad (chèvre chaud), lasagnes and crêpes with chocolat and ice cream for dessert. Everything was on point, restaurant staff was welcoming and helpful. And we could pay with a bank card (apparently the note about cash only payments is not up to date). Found this place by accident when we wandered past at 1230. Couldn’t get a table on the terrace immediately but the lady at the bar said if we wait 25 minutes we would be OK. She was right. View is magnificent, right across to Antibes and the Med. Food was nice and the ladies who run the place very pleasant.
