Restaurant La Sierra — Restaurant in Grasse

The service at this restaurant is horrible! Highly reccomend you to not go there! Waiting 1 and a half hour for food when the restaurant wasnt even that busy! The waitress did not even explain what happened, and gave us the cheque/bill when we asked her what happened with the food we ordered. Never felt so discriminated!

We were the second group of customers, as the restaurant was almost empty when we got there. We ordered our food 10 min after we sat down. we ordered 2 starters (carpaccio salad and grilled snails), and 4 main dishes (steaks, and beef stews).

We then were just talking and enjoying the sun. Slowly we were getting really hungry. When we looked at the time, we realized that ONE HOUR had already passed and not even a salad was brought to us!

At this point we asked the waitress how long it would still take for the food, and she said that it would come soon. Then we saw this woman come in with 3 kids, sat down took their order, and after 15 min, their 3 steaks arrived. This did not make sense to us, as we also ordered 2 steaks, but they go it before us... We started to look around and noticed that so many people that came way after us had already gotten their food and finished eating. We told the waitress that we have already been waiting for about 1 and a half hour and that people coming after us are already getting their food, and that we will just get going if we still have to wait. She gave us a nasty look, and came back with food that we ordered, however, instead of apologizing for the long wait, she gave the food to another table of customer, and gave us a cheque. At this point we just gave the money for the one Cola we got at the start, and left.

We felt so discriminated, as customers that came way later than us got served first, and the dishes were the same as the ones we ordered.

Went for the view, left because of the service. Not great!

We booked a table a week ahead but when we turned up, the waitress told us where our table was (could not be bothered to show us) and ended up being horrified at what we saw. A makeshift plastic table and chairs away from the main terrace below a metal open staircase (you could imagine what we could have seen) by a grubby wall and I believe to be the toilets.

When we refused the table and made our way out, the waitress told us to wait 15min as another table is available. 30mins later and the staff avoiding eye contact, I told her it was unfair to hold us to ransom as she did. Her remarks weren't positive.

Honestly, we can't comment on the food and you can get lucky with a reasonable view but there is plenty of other places you can go nearby with better views, decor...

⭐️⭐️ Nice location with a good view, but the space feels a bit cramped. The server was friendly at first, but if you said something wrong, her facial expressions and behavior quickly showed irritation. We brought our 4-month-old baby, but only after ordering food were we told that children were not allowed inside. If you have kids, you should choose another place.

The glasses had fingerprints inside, and the pasta looked pale and pre-made. It tasted like cheap store-bought broth. We were 10 people – only 4 of us actually liked the food, while the rest were disappointed. The lasagna was just okay, but felt mass-produced.
