Food taste is good at this place however they are overpriced. The one star rate is because of the way the owner/manager (lady) was talking to the staff member (Ukrainian boy). It was extremely disappointing that he was trying to help us to choose one of the drinks, however, She was extremely angry and talking to him in very inappropriate way. She asked him to leave us, go to bar and make some coffee for another customer. This behavior was out of line and make us very uncomfortable 😳. Updated: To the owner who replied to my review: You should know that all behavior when serve customers are included the rate and is not just foods. You were talking english to that poor boy and we could feel the way you treated him was very inappropriate. Update to respond: Dear owner, you don’t know how to talk respectfully and that is your problem. You didn’t talk in good manner to your staff in front of us and you gave us a bad vibes. Thanks

Le Bistrot De Grand Mère is tucked away on a quiet backstreet, far from the busy main harbor. It's a modest, unpretentious spot, but the charm lies in its simplicity. The staff were warm, friendly, and spoke excellent English. Although the restaurant was packed all night, having just two servers for the entire place made the service a bit slow. We enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of the outdoor seating, though some music would have been a nice touch to elevate the ambiance. We ordered the set dinner with beef cheek and a side of cod to share between the two of us, which was the perfect amount. The food was delicious—authentic French cuisine, like a comforting home-cooked meal.

Honestly we came here because we saw how sassy the restaurant owners responses were to the negative reviews and we thought it was *hilarious*. Especially the person who needed to use the bathroom and had to pay for a coffee (duh!) We had a fantastic time. It was probably my favorite sit down meal in my entire week of the riveria. The vibe, the food and the price is unbeatable! My boyfriend had the mussels. I had the salmon tartare. It was amazing!! Two meals with drinks less than €60! You can't afford not to.

We absolutely loved this place — it’s definitely a level above the typical tourist spots. A real hidden gem that’s truly worth a visit.

We started with the Greek salad — incredibly fresh veggies and creamy feta. It’s a slight twist on the classic version, but in the best possible way.

I had the duck, and it was simply magical — tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. My partner had the calamari, which was equally impressive: fresh, light, and perfectly balanced.

Highly, highly recommend this spot — a must-try if you’re...
