Xuan Le Printemps — Restaurant in Grasse

We walked into this restaurant hoping to have a nice meal, but were immediately greeted by a loud argument coming from the kitchen. Staff were shouting at each other, creating a very uncomfortable and unprofessional atmosphere. The man working the counter — a heavily tattooed guy who also seemed to be serving as a waiter — was incredibly rude. He handed us a French-only menu, which we struggled to understand since we don’t speak French. Trying to be polite, my fiancé approached him and explained that we were having trouble understanding the menu. Instead of helping, he scoffed at us and said, “Do you even know what country you're in?” When my fiancé replied, “Yes, we’re in France,” the man snapped back, “Exactly – seems like you’ve forgotten that!” We were shocked by the attitude and decided to leave immediately. Went to this place based off recommendation and turned out to be an extremely disappointing experience. We ordered pho’s with extra chicken but there was barely any. In complaining the manager shrugged very unapologetically “not my fault, i told the kitchen, they didn’t”. He then proceeded to toss the cutlery into the bowls unprofessionally which made the soup splatter all over our shirts, of which he was again very unapologetic. Lastly, we waited for the bill for almost half an hour until one of us finally got up and went to the desk. This is a very nice and very good Vietnamese restaurant - the French owner is in the service and his vietnamese wife in the kitchen. We just passed by and what we saw - the food and the happy looking customers - made us looking for a free table. The very friendly owner welcomes us and cleaned the table first. In the menu we choose a selection of the Standard menu. Nem and dim sum ; the beef and duck glacier; some fruits. At all a very fresh and very well flavoured meal which came up to our taste.
