ALL the bad reviews are true. DO NOT eat here. I don’t know what the 5-star reviewers were smoking, but it was not sold in France.

We stopped in and almost immediately ran into shadiness. The bottle of wine we ordered was “finished” and we were brought two others to choose from. The one we chose was basically over-aged raisin juice and absolutely not worth the price. We ordered a penne bolognese and a mixed grill plate. After waiting about 40 minutes, the bolognese - covered in unidentifiable cheese triangles - was bland and tasteless, seemingly just out of a freezer. I was offered a choice of sauces for my mixed grill plate, but my first choice (béarnaise) was “finished”, so I chose the mushroom sauce. The dish arrived and consisted of an overcooked duck breast, an overcooked cut of chuck beef, an overcooked grilled chicken strip, and an overcooked, paltry lamb shank with maybe two bites of meat, all slathered in a salty brown slop without any mushrooms or even mushroom flavor. To top it off, there was a burning (like, literally on fire) bay leaf on top of the lamb shank, which left a putrid charcoal residue on the aforementioned two bites of meat. That was unfortunately the most flavorful part of the meal.

I became suspicious of this place when the food was so subpar, so I read all the above reviews and learned what this place was really about, so we declined dessert and asked for the check. It took 10 minutes, after which - just like with the other reviewers - we were given a handwritten list of what we ordered plus the surprise 15% “VTA” (which, again, is NOT A THING in France). Since I knew this was nonsense, I told the owner that I knew this wasn’t real, and he tried to tell me that he usually worked in Nice but Cannes was special and charged an extra tax??? I told him we’ve literally eaten in Cannes before and it’s not a thing, and he kind of awkwardly laughed and tried to explain it away in French (despite him being able to speak excellent English). At this point, I already knew I would contest this charge, so I told him I would just pay by card. We were told that because it was so busy (at 11pm on a Sunday night? Yeah right…) we would have to wait 40 MINUTES for the credit card machine to work, but there was an ATM just around the corner!! Yeah, ok, dude. I asked him to just try on the machine anyway, which - surprise, surprise - worked perfectly. He even subtracted €10 for the “inconvenience”. How nice. I was left with a €208 charge for four pieces of overcooked charcoal-tinged meat, penne with Ragu sauce from the freezer, and raisin wine.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Avoid this place like the plague you’ll probably catch from the...

Really wish we looked at the reviews before sitting down. Looks really nice when passing so we gave it a go.

To start we got a bottle of sparkling water as we sat down. Later we found out it was €8.

We ordered what sounded like nice dishes. I took carpaccio for starter and basil gnocchi for the main.

The carpaccio was weirdly textured. It was in the middle of chunks of hard cheese (not pleasant shavings, but almost half cm chunks. It came with tasteless salad and tomato's, and extremely sweet balsamic glaze and a lime wedge. To top it off, the "fries" that it comes with were just salted crisps on top. A weird brown bag of processed bread came out for the starter as well.

The gnocchi was inedible. Nice taste for the first bite, but the salt content made one or two bites possible before giving up. My girlfriends shrimps were raw and cold in the centre also.

Not asked at all if everything was ok when she took my clearly uneaten dish away, and when my girlfriend went to the bathroom she saw the waitress eating my gnocchi which I left from my plate near the kitchen.

The one (warmish and stale) beer I had was €14. The wine my girlfriend ordered was awful and she couldn't finish it.

Overall it was €80 between us for a terrible meal with...

The worst restaurant ever -tourist trap! Young waitress was persistent about visiting restaurant. She showed us menu and told that we won’t regret food. Menu in english has other prices (much higher) than menu in french! First we ordered foie gras. I can tell for sure that it was not original and we had bread with that which was totally burned and black. This food was not worthy 26€ maybe 3€….Later we ordered steak with homemade french fries and cheese pasta. It was not steak but only clasic piece of meat and fries w full of oil and cost 26€.Pasta was plain, without salt and I could not smell the cheese and cost 22€.Pasta were also burned and inside were big pieces of something which We could not identity. Also we ordered tap water which is in restaurants free of charge. We were suprised during paying that this water cost 5€. When We asked why waiter told us with irony laugh that water costs 8€ but he sold us it in price...

Tourist scam should have red the advises on Google … FYI the product they sell you ex: a piece of basic meat is presented as a 3 weeks aged ribeye when it’s not a ribeye obsiously but just a regular butcher piece not worth more then 15€ but they will charge you 28€ for it …. And when the bull comes they have added charging you for sauces that where included so you have to make them change the bills with 12€ of sauces !!! But when they come back with it they tell you that the prices are without V.A.T … 78€ for 2 piece of meat over cooked by the way and one glass of bad Chardonnay …. Avoid at all cost !!!! Not good and is a scam in the end !
