saw good review from TA and decided to give it a try even though it was more expensive than neighboring restaurants. the menu was 35eur but it didn't had the items i wanted.i wanted foie gras entree and margret de canard as the plat, however the waiter/server/staff waiting at the street told me he could customize the menu for me for additional 5eur. i decided to give it a try. first up was an appetizer which featured salmon in s shot glass..i can't really tell what the cream/sauce is composed of but it was delicious. the 'pain' served was pretty nice as well. then came my foie gras, the plating was nice and the 'pomme' slices that accompanied the foie gras was yummy. the foie gras itself passed my expectation though i have had better before. up next was the famed french margret de canard. it was served with wok-styled carrot and cucumber(i think) strips and it was absolutely delicious. the margret itself was however slightly disappointing, the meat was more toward medium well rather than medium rare(which i believe is the right way to have this dish) and also the fat(which is the key to this whole dish) was lacking. it wasn't bad, but i had high expectations of this as i have had really good margret de canard before(at cheaper prices). all i can say is that the sides are more outstanding than the mains...not sure if this is a compliment or not though..lol. i had the strawberry soup with vanilla ice cream for dessert, as it was something i had not tried in france yet(the other choices were tiramisu and creme brulee if i recalled correctly). it was good, even though the soup was a little sour(most strawberries in france are sour rather than sweet from my experience). the service so far was good and smooth until when i called for the bill. the staff asked me for a tip and when i said no(it is not customary to tip in france..their prices are high enough already), i could sense a little discontent and as expected, there wasn't a "merci, au revoir" or "bon journee" after...

We really should’ve read the reviews before coming to this restaurant. It's located in an alley full of places that clearly cater to tourists, many of which feel like overpriced traps—and this one was no exception. I ordered a set menu with foie gras and slow-cooked lamb shoulder (which had a €5 surcharge). The foie gras tasted like it came from a can, and while the lamb was very tender, it lacked flavor. The set cost €35. My friend ordered a beef risotto, which was also quite mild in taste, though he enjoyed it. That dish was €32. Everything seemed acceptable until the end, when the waiter asked us for a tip and insisted that “everyone gives tips here.” That made us feel uncomfortable, especially given the already high prices and average food. Overall, I’m not sure I’d recommend this place, and I don’t think I’d return. There are probably better options nearby if you look a little further.

This might seem like hyperbole but this is the worst meal I have ever had the misfortune of attempting to eat. My fiancée and I found this place when strolling through Cannes - we were met by a nice lady who helped us get situated as we looked through the menu. This was as good as it got unfortunately. For starters, my fiancée had the salmon purée - which did not taste fresh at all with a very strange taste. - extremely underwhelming. And I had some bread - which was fine with nice butter.

Onto the mains and as we lurched from underwhelming to disastrous. I had the Ribeye, which smelled like it had been cooked with sewage instead of oil - genuinely vile and the taste was horrendous. I highlighted this smell to the waitress who blankly stared at me then said she’d ask the chef - I never got an answer on this. The fries were okay - nothing special. My fiancée had Prawns - which did not seem fresh and left a bitter, horrendous aftertaste. My Fiancée did not even get over a quarter of the way through the meal - when this feedback was given to the waitress her exact quote was “but you finished it?” - a plate with 3 quarters full of food is “finishing it” - incredulous.

This place is a perfect example of why a one is too high a rating for some places. I would give this place a negative if I could. I would urge anyone to avoid eating here - the food is rotten, and your concerns will be batted away and instead you’ll be given “complimentary” limoncello - which a previous posted described as “chemical” - we couldn’t even bring ourselves to drink it.

All round - the worst place I have ever eaten at, avoid at all costs. I would...

We had dinner in the this restaurant which totally destroyed our evening . We felt unwelcome from the begging. The waiter was really rude and angry when we asked for the dish recommendations. He was keep rushing us to place the orders . He also shouted at us that it’s busy he doesn’t have time for explanation. That was first signal to leave this place however it was after 10.30 pm and we were really hungry so unfortunately we decided to stay . Water glasses , plates and cutlery were not polished - very dirty . My partner decided to drink beer from the bottle as the glass was nasty . After 45 mins finally we have recived our food . The onion soup was the worst I ever had. Tiny portion without any liquid with a lot of cheese and only soaked bread appear in the bowl . I asked for a new portion and recived after 20 mins however “soup” looked even worst . Tasteless , tiny portion , served in a dirty bowl I decided to return it as it was really bad . I also asked to take the soup off the bill then the owner get really angry , she said I ate half of it and I have to pay 8 euros ! She was arrogant and couldn’t control her temper . She came back to me with the bowl of soup to show me how much I ate ! She was keep telling me that I’m wrong and the soup is nice . That they made an effort to bring me nicer portion but I’m still not happy with that and I have to pay for it ! That’s unacceptable! Especially from the owner . Food is very average , chicken breast dry , horrible soup , snails you can get better from any supermarket , nasty glasses and the worst service ever . Avoid this place...
