Found this restaurant as it had a very interesting tasting menu so wanted to treat myself before another lockdown. They don’t have an English menu and the waitress doesn’t really speak English either. The chef often came out and explained the meal which was a nice touch, the staff overall friendly. I was the only one at the restaurant. There is a tapas bar opposite this place with a very loud music, which I particularly really enjoyed but it might not be as enjoyable for others. 5 courses. Salmon appetizer was delicious. Scallops and foie gras starter was the reason i actually came in but was little disappointing. Sounded brilliant, would be good if all components served separately but it just didn’t work together. The cider butter sauce was way too sweet and just didn’t bring the dish together. The lobster ravioli wasn’t actually ravioli but it was my favorite dish. Steak and potatoes for main. It was good but very basic. Steak a little tough but cooked perfectly so the quality of the meat is not as good I assumed. Very little sauce to go with it, could definitely pass that one. Dessert was awful. Stale pancakes filled with ricotta soaked in tons of honey and candied orange. Very disappointing as dessert is always my favorite part of the meal. They only serve one kind of wine by the glass which is shocking. You would expect a wine pairing with most degustation menus. The wine they served just didn’t compliment the dishes at all, but opposite. Overall the food was very average. I found everything quite oily and heavy on butter. And most flavors didn’t really work together. I personally...
Read moreWe booked this restaurant while on a visit to Cannes, after spending about 20 minutes waiting to order we received bread for the next hour and a half until our starters came. At this point we realised the chicken in the Caesar salad was off as well as raw, and the rest of the dishes were cold. Upon receiving our mains (including a €85 steak) it was much the same, being cold and bland, and the service remaining terrible. We received the Caesar salad free as well as a Diet Coke and it seemed like this was a regular occurance. This was confirmed when we complained at the end and the waiter went to get the clearly drunk chef as “this wasn’t up to him” The only thing that wasn’t undercooked about this meal...
Read moreCame by this fancy reataurant while visiting Cannes. We were looking for vegetarian options and to our surprise this restaurant had an entire menu for vegetarian dishes. The appetizers, salad, main course were fantastic. The lemon tart was little acidic for our taste but good overall, it was presented in the most simple and beautiful manner. Staff was nice and accomodating. Upon complimenting the food the server informed us that the chef is the owner of the restaurant hence every meal is being done a good job on. Recommend this place. The location is great. Visiting...
