Read moreUnfortunately below any expectation. I ignored some of the recent negative reviewers and wet for dinner. We had 2 starters (Dégustation St Jacques rôtis au beurre d'orange and Cuisses de Grenouilles sautées, beurre mousseux à l'ail et persil). St Jacques were delicious and sauce pretty special. On the other end frogs were skinny (compared to the ones I had in other places it was hard to find some meat on the bones) and sauce (butter, garlic and persil) overcooked/burnt; overall taste was good, but not special at all. Furthermore frogs were served a bit messy (see photo) and even lemon was fried with frogs, not very common. Then we went on the recommendation of the day (available on a side menu): 1/2 lobster with linguine pasta flambed with cognac sauce and lobster sauce. Unfortunately not a good choice: the lobster was over cooked and served without its claw; pasta was over cooked 🤬 and different from the one written in the menu (was mafalde and not linguine ), and finally the taste of all ingredients together resulting in a “mappazzone” (huge mishmash of ingredients with no clear taste); all in all, a full disappointment. A tasty Creme brûlé to finish was closing the dinner with a positive end. Personnel was caring and nice till the restaurant had few client, then time to serve and attention dropped. Outside tables (few ones set on podiums built in the street) are nice but a bit tiny, while the inside ones pretty stuffed and with no space for a romantic dinner. Price could have been adequate considering ingredients and location and 2 bottles of water and 2 glasses of white wine, but quality of the food made the bill (80 euro each) overpriced. I was not allowed to enter this place with my husband because the waiter didn’t allow us to come as we wanted to have drinks and dessert, we didn’t want to have dinner like main dish and first course- which is absolutely normal as we just arrived to Cannes, came from airport all tired and wanted to to enjoy our evening only with alcohol, tea and desserts. we asked what desserts you’ve got the waiter who was standing at the door, he asked us straight away, you want to eat only desserts? And nothing else.? I was surprised by his question and answered him yes, as well as I want to have drinks. (That’s all that I want to have. Is that a problem??? I want to pay money to your place, not others to have food that I want?! ) After that, he was loudly saying me that we cannot enter. I do not recommend this place . at all. Stay away from a place where people disrespect you for having a choice. I’m coming to a place and pay money to eat and drink whatever I want.- not whatever waiter expect me to...

We ordered frog legs, escargot and the beef tenderloin… omg!!
First off, the frog legs are sautéed in a sauce soo decadent that it took my husband who was trying them for the first time just one bite to forget he was eating frog.
The escargot is very fresh. It is made simple but it’s definitely one of the best I’ve had in my life.
The star of the show: the beef tenderloin. It was served on a Roquefort sauce, with the best baked potato my husband and I have ever eaten in our life. Just incredible. Also came with a side salad and marinated roasted tomatoes and some other veggies. Every component of this dish was just pure perfection.
Batista, our server, was very attentive and happy to answer all of our questions. Definitely added to a great experience!
It was a great choice for our only meal in Cannes....
