Nacional Trattoria — Restaurant in Grasse

Disgraceful, pathetic, rude. The staff are extremely poor in handling large crowds and waiting tables. We were seated by a blonde woman, and shortly thereafter had our order taken. After one hour I ask one of the waiters, a bald tan man, for an update on our food due to the long amount of time since the order was taken. To my surprise, rather than taking a second to apologise or go and ask about the status, he said “Relax, it’s the holidays”. After which he left and returned 15 minutes later to ask what our order was. Seems they didn’t put the order through to the kitchen. Fine, it happens i’m not too fussed about it.

Food comes, and it’s amazing. Great flavour, looks wonderful. No complaints AT ALL!!

After finishing the food, and trying to alert the speeding waiters to take an order for dessert it took about 20 minutes to clear plates, and another 15 to give us a dessert menu without looking at us and walk away, even though I had already said we knew what we wanted. 10-15 minutes later I flagged the tan bald male waiter to take our dessert order. He said “J’arrive” whilst strolling away to take and deliver a number of orders that took about another 20 minutes at which point we decided to pay and leave.

They apologised once, served us with no care, did not ask about the service quality, and were happy to see us go.

Once they knew they messed up they didn’t bother to make up for it and spent more time on the new customers rather than provide good service to everyone!

Love this restaurant, went there one evening after trying to book a few restaurants with a few rejection, fortunately this one accepted us (5persons). It could be hard to have a table without a reservation during the high season in Antibes so better plan your meal ahead call and book it in advance unless you like a big busy crowd restaurant with a minimum services. The restaurant locates in the centre of the old town which was quite busy. We ate outdoor at the square but you can also sit inside; it’s huge! The food portion is big!! The price was affordable. We had one entree to share and it was just perfect ! Everything was so delicious. I had to ask to take away the leftover though😆 it was quite surprising to see a good restaurant in a touristic area so I will be back again! Highly...

With a group of friends during the weekend in the late afternoon this summer we were looking for a place to have a few drinks. The tables were being set up outside we tried to get the attention of the server who seemed to be ignoring us. Finally, we sit at a table, he clearly sees us and still says nothing. When he finally decides that he can pay us some attention we ask if we can order some drinks and he says that they do not serve drinks and only do dinner service like it was beneath him to cater to us! That's fine if true, but why couldn't he have greeted us and simply said this before? Unprofessional and unfriendly. Generally, I've heard quite good reviews regarding the food but mixed feedback about service. I guess I'll never really know as I will probably never go back after...
