My husband and I arrived late in Cannes on 10/02/24 after a long road trip and I booked Sens last minute for their last 10:30pm slot. As a previous food & bev worker, I felt terrible but many restaurants were already closed. Sens employees welcomed us with open arms despite many other tables already finished with their meals and just sipping wine. Our server was so kind and patient despite our slight language barrier (I speak some French). He recommended a wonderful wine that paired beautifully with our meal. The food though. The food was outstanding!!! We ordered the oysters, calamari tartare, and little gem salad to start. All were wonderful but the salad was out of this world. The flavor pairings truly were a symphony in the mouth. For our main course we had the steak and duck which were also wonderful. The duck skin could have been seared ever so slightly longer to render the fat more, but the flavor was so amazing it didn’t matter. To finish we had the dulce de leche flan with pumpkin. Incredible. Overall the entire dining experience was excellent and I am so grateful to the staff for welcoming us so warmly on our first night in Cannes! I highly recommend visiting Sens if you are looking for an outstanding meal a little ways away from tourist central. Thank you thank you thank...
Read moreThis is, without a doubt, my favorite restaurant in Cannes. I’ve been to many fine dining places, but the concept of SENS is truly exceptional. Every time, they introduce us to fascinating chefs, and their menus never fail to leave me speechless.
This time, we had the pleasure of discovering Chef Antoine Griton. Watching him at work was a separate kind of joy - his precise, graceful movements and deep sense of inner balance were almost meditative. You could feel that harmony reflected so clearly in each dish.
We sat in the main dining room both times during this trip, and I couldn’t take my eyes off the chef. His presence and focus created an atmosphere of calm artistry. We tried almost everything - and I can still remember the taste of every single dish a week later. I even ordered duck, which I usually avoid — and loved it.
You can truly choose any dish without hesitation — they’re all outstanding. And the desserts? Just two options, but absolute masterpieces.
The service has always been impeccable - polite, attentive, and consistent. I’m so glad that the team hasn’t changed over time.
I wish SENS continued success - they...
Read moreI made a same-day reservation and arrived at Sens at 7:10 PM, becoming the second table seated. The overall dining experience was enjoyable. The meal started with a complimentary mushroom soup, which was a delightful touch. The veal sweetbread was a new and interesting dish for me, and the beef tartare was exceptional. The chef even provided instructions on how to properly enjoy it, adding a personal touch to the experience.
The restaurant had an open kitchen, allowing guests to watch the chef meticulously prepare each dish, which was a nice feature. By 8 PM, the restaurant became quite busy, with just a bartender and a waitress serving approximately 14 tables. Despite the small team, the service was attentive, though understandably a bit slower as the evening progressed. Overall, a good experience with quality food and an...
