Plage Macé — Attraction in Grasse

Caution! Service personnel can steal your money! We were 2018 on this beach and have given our valuables and wallet to staff. We paid money for this “safe storage keeping service”. But when we got our stuff back, it was missing 100 euros in the wallet. We complained directly, but the staff denied it of course. We are pretty sure that one of the staff stole the money from our wallet. Only staff has access to this room. They keep valuables of guests not in the safe or strongbox, but simply in open plastic boxes in the their back room. We called police, but police could not even speak English – in the international city of Cannes police do not speak English! We were very indignant, disappointed and upset. Never ever...

Came to Cannes for a night during the Cannes Film Festival (2025) so I could watch the free public screenings that start from 9:30pm onwards everyday during the festival. I started to queue for it at least 2 hours before so I was fairly near the start of the queue. It did fill up quickly so I would advise queueing up early to get a deck chair spot but you could just fully bring a beach towel and sit outside the cordoned area to watch without queueing. Plage Macé is a beloved spot due to its beautiful beach and vibrant atmosphere. The positive reviews are well-deserved, and abundant. Which is why we’re hoping that someone here might have seen Mohamed-Larbi Sakhraoui, pictured below. He went missing on January 12th and may be in the area.
