Brasserie Legend Café — Restaurant in Grasse

Wanted to sit down at the "Legend Café" only to be told you can't order a coffee, because it's a "restaurant" and you MUST order food. Earlier before that we met this very pleasant waitress that took our order and had no issues. After a few minutes the manager/owner came up to us and told us we MUST order food, but prior to that there were no signs or indications it's a rule at this "café". On top of that the owner/manager was quite rude and made a scene. Been to a lot of places, even if it's a "restaurant" I've never experienced where you cannot sit down for drinks on a hot summers day.

In addition to top it off the toilets were disgusting, smelled and horrible hygiene.

I was really disappointed with the service at this place. We just wanted to sit outside on the terrace, have a beer, and enjoy a cigarette. However, the staff refused to give us a table unless we ordered food. I understand if they have certain policies, but it felt really unwelcoming and unnecessarily strict.
