I had high expectations for this place based on Google reviews, but the food was average to good and the ambience was overrated. Tables were placed very close to each other and privacy while having dinner was non existent. I could hear the person sitting next to me at the next table cleared that I could hear my partner across from me. We tried the 3- course menu with ceviche, steak and shrimps. All was ok, nothing spectacular, the shrimps were good and tasty but the steak was chewy and not great. The dessert was a bit better than the main course. I liked the street where the restaurant was, one was those happening downtownish pavement avenues with only people walking and no cars. I'll have to do a better job reading in between the lines in Google reviews next time.

Our best culinery experience of our short visit to LA. The standard of food throughout LA is excellent but Ginger is on another level. All I can say is whoever put together the beef tataki, salmon tataki and the beef tartare really knows delicate flavours. This "Frasian" experience, where french cuisine is met with an Asian twist, was the highlight of our trip. Leave this restaurant for last as nowhere will compare. Thank you to Sophie, front of house, who was very friendly and helpful. Thank you also to Enzo, chef, who shared the secrets of their beef tartare. Looking forward to next time.

Nous sommes tombés sur ce restaurant par hasard en nous promenant dans une rue du vieux port. La terrasse étant pleine en cette soirée d’été nous avons du attendre 10 petites minutes à peine senti grâce a l’apéritif que l’adorable hôtesse nous a servi pour patienter. Une terrasse très simple, bien organisée (pratique en cette crise sanitaire). Viens l’entrée (très rapidement), pour ma part le Maki concombre crabe était un DÉLICE. Accompagné d’une sauce aux pommes je me suis régalée et ai découvert un mélange très agréable et particulier. Mon amie a elle pris le gaspacho tomate mangue ananas crumble pignon, tout aussi bon avec un gros coup de cœur pour la glace basilic (fait maison). Pour le plat j’ai opté pour le maigre a la paella croustillante. Le poisson était super frais (produit de la région) et l’émulsion de coquillage qui l’accompagnait ne faisait qu’embellir le plat. Mon amie a elle pris les crevettes curry ananas, je sais pas comment vous décrire ce plat. Il était tellement bon... tout ce mélangeait parfaitement et la chair fondait en bouche. Un plat que je Recommande plus que fortement. Nous avons fini par deux dessert : un crémeux (vraiment hyper crémeux c’était tellement agréable) citron avec un biscuit remplacé par de la coco et un « carrément » chocolat pistache avec une boule glace pistache fait maison excellente ! (Les pâtisseries sont évidemment elle aussi fait maison ;) ) Pour conclure, je ne pensais pas à la devanture avoir le droit à un repas aussi bon tout ça pour un peu moins de 30 € (menu entrée + plat + dessert). Je recommande très fortement ce restaurant si vous voulez bien manger à La Rochelle surtout que l’emplacement permet de faire une petite balade de digestion sur le vieux port après le repas.

Fusion food with Japanese, Brazilian, South East Asia, Hawaiian inspirations with upscale ambitions and tastes but not the prices. Tasting menu or a la carte options available. Vegan options available across the menu. Great taste with just the right mix of exotic flavour. A sure choice for some inspired upscale food in La Rochelle. Tends to be super busy, reservation recommended. Lunch deal is particularly sweet, with 3 course meal under 30€, with good portions and the same amazing flavours.

Amazing dishes. Had starter+main+desert and drinks. Packs of flavour in the dishes, everything is cooked to perfection. Very close to michelin guide. The place you must to dine in. Gazpacho is unbelievably good, sour, sweet, with a kick of chilli, with creamy burrata cheese and crumble, explosion of taste buds. Fish for main course is cooked to perfection. And deserts, omg, french patisserie with a twist, just Superb! We ate everything and licked our plates!

Little gem in the busy street of La Rochelle. We went there on a very busy night but the service was extremely smooth and fast. The servers were smiling and professional, checked on us after every course. The menu offers variety so there is an option for everyone. The food is amazing, full of flavours, balanced, fresh and beautiful to look at. We loved everything about the restaurant. We will definitely go there again.
