EXKi — Restaurant in Le Raincy

Tried out this so called healthy option cafe, Exki in Terminal 2E at Charles de Gaulle, in Roissy, Paris while in transit and making a short AirFrance connection to Bengaluru, India in June 2019. It was not even 8:30 A.M. After somehow making it from the restrooms, a pretty crowded one and one level down the Terminal or my Boarding Gate and used the stairs which was also good exercise after sitting down quite a while on my previous flight and I didn't want to use the elevators.

I was back in the terminal within a short time and it was pretty much packed, surprisingly enough not knowing the total flights which were expected to leave shortly, early morning.

Exki already had a long queue even before I could order a hot beverage, at least what I was thinking. Had thoughts of maybe getting a snack as well. You really had to grab your frozen prepackaged meals from the side display or the shelf adjacent to the line before you reached the actual checkout counter.🙂 I browsed their available expensive deli selection of either cold sandwiches or salads which I seldom eat and that too not so early in the morning.😪 Did not find any choices which could obviously suit my palette. Decided not to pursue my earlier thoughts.

I decided to get a small hot tea and hoped to finish gulping it within the short time. My prayers somehow worked and I finally reached the checkout. Ordered a small Assam Tea which cost me 3.90 Euros and exactly $4.59 which I thought was a ripoff! They would accept credit cards, since I didn't have cash! The crew at Exki was neither smiling nor friendly, besides were also rude in answering any questions and giving the impression that they were instead doing a favor to their customers.

I managed somehow to find the sugar, the scarce milk within the containers and the napkins. The interesting part was that the tea was lukewarm. There weren't any tables to prepare my tea oreven sit down! Exki was a disappointment and luckily, I didn't order any food and waste my money. Besides, I would have been served yet another meal on my next flight let alone some real good and hot beverages. I would not recommend Exki in...

Please guys add tables and seatings! Very convenient airport dinner at terminal 2D. Much better than the old one. They now have fresh hot soups and tarts as well as the usual sandwiches and drinks. Bit expensive though. I know it's not fine food or the highest quality but it's definitely better than the usual starbucks, brioche dorée, relay and so on.
