Worst experience ever, do not go there to eat. We were told that we could reserve a table for an hour later so we did. We came back 15 minutes earlier and were told again to wait 15 more minutes. But eventually when we were there right on time we were told we could sit and wait for a table again. The waiter which made the reservation said it was a waiting list which does not guarantee a table. Worst service and worst waiter ever!!!!!!!! This place does not live up to its review score at all.
The waiter mentioned that we could RESERVE a table. In the average restaurant business that would mean that if a table would be held reserved for us and not fill it again to just fill all the tables all the time. When we got there we saw a table being giving away to other people and all the reserved names on this waiting list was crossed off already. The waiter was not apologetic at all for the situation on the contrary reacted full of arrogance and told me it’s a waiting list and apparently not a reservation.
This attitude is hugely...
Read moreDecent brunch food and drinks in a cute part of town (Vieux Lille). The servers were all friendly and kept coming over to interact with my baby.
The location itself isn’t very baby-friendly or accessible for guests on wheels. There are a few steps to go up and a narrow corridor in order to enter the cafe. I had to disassemble my stroller in order to go up, then reassemble it in the corridor before entering. There is no changing station in the bathroom, and because many of the tables are communal and the dining area is small, I didn’t feel comfortable changing my baby on one of the tables. When I was leaving though, one of the servers (who had been super friendly with my baby the whole time) offered to help carry the stroller outside and down to the sidewalk, so I didn’t have to disassemble it again.
TL;DR - A cute little place to work or enjoy brunch with friends, but not super baby friendly or accessible if...
Read moreI came here for brunch with my partner. I normally hate the concept of brunch - it's a recipe for feeling really hungry at 4pm! I'm pleased she talked me into it in this case. The food and service was excellent. We each had the eggs with sourdough toast and also shared some ricotta pancakes. The pancakes were fluffy and light. My scrambled eggs were probably slightly under done (for my preference) but they tasted great - really well seasoned. There was a pleasant buzz inside and the service was patient and friendly.
It's fairly small inside (maybe 8 tables?) but there's more tables outside. We had to join a queue for an inside table - we agreed to come back in 20mins. When we did they had a table ready for us - so the queuing felt really well managed.
The eggs and toast was €15 so not cheap but worth it when the level of service and atmosphere are...
