Royal tandoori — Restaurant in Montpellier

I went to this restaurant for lunch with two friends. My friend and I ordered from the lunch menu, while the other friend ordered something else. The food took a bit longer than expected, but it was fine overall — just a bit small in portion size.

When we got the bill, I noticed that my naan cheese bread — which I thought was included in the lunch menu — was charged an extra €3.90. The waiter told me I was mistaken and had ordered from the regular menu instead. In fact, it was my other friend who hadn’t ordered from the lunch menu. He also mentioned that my portion would’ve been smaller if it had been the lunch menu, which didn’t really make sense to me.

I felt frustrated, as the naan ended up costing almost half the price of my main dish — something I didn’t know beforehand. Overall, I left a bit disappointed by...

As a visitor from the USA, I was eager to see how the good people of France could provide excellent Indian fare, and the results were most pleasant. The Royal Tandoori had a good arrangement for both indoor and outdoor dining. Interior design was simple, but reflected the Indian culture to provide a good atmosphere. The staff were friendly and understanding, giving me a welcome presence as a guest. And the food, provided buffet style, was wonderful in diversity of what was available, all of which was appealing. The results overall were incredibly satisfying for myself and my two local friends who resided in Montpellier during my visitation. I wish the business the best of success and prosperity.
