IT - Italian Trattoria Nancy — Restaurant in Nancy

Had a stopover in Nancy returning from a short vacation in the South of France. Wanted to have a nice dinner, and felt like Italian food. Reviews here looked promising. After seeing the place, it didn't look very appealing as it looked more like a McDonalds (including self service). After trying a brasserie on the other side of the square (Le Charles Trois) and finding out they did not serve food (although they had a full menu displayed outside), we decided to just eat something here anyway hoping the food would be nice. It was NOT. The pasta tartuffo et fungi was tasteless, appeared to be a big clump of pasta penne, and was cold. Pizza Tropea (pizza with tuna) was a bit better, but had very little tuna and other ingredients. I know the Italian kitchen is about "minimal effort, maximum result"....they only got the minimal effort right, but with a terribly bad result. 2 pastas, 2 pizza's, 3 cola zero (some unknown brand, so not the real thing!) and a beer for almost 80 Euros! Rediculous. Back to our hotel I started feeling nauseous. DO NOT eat here!! To bad Google doesn't allow to give zero stars... Again, DO...

Food poisoning / Intoxication alimentaire

This restaurant needs information about FOOD POISONING on 18/FEB/2025 at 19h. I had a this issue and they need to know more infomations to confirm for this issue : minimum 2 person within 48 hours.

If you have this issue, please leave some comments. I had a pizza (margherita di burrata) and 2 glass of red Sicilian wine, ordered at 18:28 - eat in. And I had a very bad enteritis, vomiting and diarrhea at the same day at 21:30.

They say that all their products were deliverd, and I quessed there is an another concern that their hygine protocol. I washed my hands before eating, at the restaurant toilet with soap.

Overall, I had a great experience at the restaurant. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with warm lighting and soft Italian music playing in the background. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and made us feel right at home.

As for the food, it was absolutely delicious. We started with a plate of Stracciatella, which was fresh and flavorful. For the main meal, I ordered the Tartufo E Funghi. The dish was hearty and satisfying, with rich sauce and perfectly cooked pasta.

We also couldn't resist trying some of the restaurant's homemade desserts, and were blown away by the tiramisu. The tiramisu was creamy and light, with just the right amount of sweetness.

Overall, I would highly recommend this Italian restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic dining experience. The food was top-notch, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was cozy...
