Qiwi sushi — Restaurant in Nice

I almost never leave reviews, qiwi was hands down one of the most humiliating and uncomfortable dining experiences I have ever had. Yes, the sushi was good, but that was the only positive thing about this place. After waiting more than 40 minutes for our food, we politely asked if it was coming soon and were told with shocking rudeness that we could cancel and go elsewhere; when the food finally arrived, the waitress actually stood there arguing with us for nearly a full minute insisting it hadn’t been that long, handed over the plates with contempt, and mocked us by saying “if you want quick sushi, go to a sushi shop.” On top of that, she made several nasty comments in French about how “tourism is terrible,” clearly thinking we wouldn’t understand, which left us feeling incredibly vulnerable and stared at by other guests—it genuinely ruined what should have been a pleasant dinner. Afterward, I noticed there are many other Google reviews mentioning this same toxic attitude, so our experience is clearly not unique. We still kept our composure, thanked them, and even complimented the food despite everything, but I would never go back; no good food is worth being treated with such open disrespect...

The worst experience ever from a “recommended” sushi place. The service is outrageous. We waited for 45 minutes for our food for them to say “you can cancel your order”. The waiter then came and started arguing that there’s no way we waited for that long. Gaslighting. On top of that - “if you want quick sushi, go to another sushi bar”. Wow. That’s an amazing service. I really enjoyed my visit to Qiwi Sushi! The menu has a great mix of traditional and creative fusion rolls, and everything tasted super fresh. The Queen Roll and Star Roll were standouts for me, full of flavor and beautifully made.
