I was walking in the 10th trying to find a place to buy a SIM card and I walk passed this Mexican restaurant with people eating tacos and burritos and salads that looked DAMN good.
Then I noticed that it was Taco Tuesday - Tacos for $1! That still didn’t convince me to stop and eat there, though. But on the way back, I said I had nothing to lose….
I’m from Chicago and it’s well know that Chicago makes the best tortillas and tacos in all of the USA. I know what a legit Mexican taco should taste like.
These tacos are tiny but they are overfilled with meat. The chicken and Barbacoa tacos hit. Skip the chorizo and potatoes. I didn’t have the mushrooms. I had TEN tacos and as I write this at 8pm at night, I still feel satisfied. Many people were drinking margaritas but I didn’t want to spend $10 on a drink. I probably won’t be back just because there are so many more restos in Paris but if I lived here full time, this would be a weekly...
Read moreWe had a disappointing experience at ACA in Paris. My friend ordered a “barnacos” taco but received the wrong dish – just a tortilla with guacamole on it. When my friend tried to point this out to two different servers, neither seemed to care – they only said “sorry” and walked away without offering a solution. One waiter appeared to be in a rush, even taking away our plate without asking if we were finished.
Communication was also difficult, as the staff we interacted with didn’t seem to understand or speak English, and only responded in French when we tried to explain. Overall, the service felt dismissive and the food did not match the menu description, which was very...
Read moreFood was mediocre and cost a fortune. The nachos come with a puddle of liquid cheese and a dash of feta cheese, beans, guacamole. The tacos are average, only made acceptable with the beef broth. My burrito had barely any meat on it, another item only made acceptable when I dunked the entire thing into the beef broth. My partner got quasadias (forgive my spelling) which weren’t brought to us until after I finished eating. They were quite nice with the guacamole and again dumped into the beef broth. Keeping in mind it was just bread and cheese inside though. The time we went the restaurant was completely packed and people kept shoving my chair to push pass. Could barely hear ourselves speak. The best thing was the 2 drinks we...
