Great Food - Highly Recommend

My girlfriend and I spent an evening exploring Canal St Martin, which I would highly recommend, and found this gem of a restaurant. The restaurant was full when we arrived, but the waitress was very friendly and found us a seat within 10 minutes. The space is small, and you share tables with other customers, but it has a lovely Parisian/Korean vibe.

My girlfriend is vegetarian, and found plenty to choose from. We had 2 Boa each (pork belly, fried chicken, tofu & mushroom), house chips, and a salad. The flavours were spot on, good portion sizes, great atmosphere and service. to top it all they even serve Korean beer 'Hite'. Cannot recommend enough, and will be going back if in Canal St Martins again :)

Restaurant pas mauvais, mais vraiment trop cher pour la quantité. A quatre, pour environ 20-25€ par personne, on avait encore faim en sortant. On a fini dans un petit snack / bar chinois à côté pour vous dire..

Les buns sont ridiculement petits, on aurait dit des amuse-bouches, les Toppoki eu ne sont pas du tout épicés et la quantité laisse aussi à désirer. A ce prix là, c'est triste à dire mais autant prendre le temps d'aller à K-mart / Ace et cuisiner coréeen à la maison.. Un des cocktails à 8 ou 9€ c'est juste du Soju mélangé à la confiture miel-citron de type 꿀유자차. Les banchans sont à 9€ wow. (en Corée c'est gratuit/self service et aussi dans quelques restaurants coréens à Paris quand les proprios sont sympas)

Quand on appelle les serveurs en coréen pour commander (저기요~ 주문 할게요), on nous répond en français, mais bon en allant aux toilettes on les entend tous parler en coréen. C'est jamais arrivé dans un restaurant chinois, italien ou japonais, on m'a toujours répondu en mandarin / italien / japonais, à quoi bon être polyglotte.

Bref pour résumer :

Plutôt bon, plats bien dressés, restaurant Instagramable. Prix excessif pour la quantité, c'est rare pour moi d'attendre 25€ et d'avoir encore faim, la dernière fois c'était au 42degrés. Parfait pour les bobos parisiens qui n'y connaissent rien à la cuisine asiatique. Il faudrait revoir la quantité, et établir un niveau de piment style de 1 à 5 pour les plats qui sont censés être épicés comme le 떡볶이 ou les banchans avec du 김치.

L'expérience gustative était globalement bonne, donc je ne peux mettre en dessous de la moyenne donc 3/5 Mais en tout cas, Plus jamais (Oui je suis méchant, mais les feedback négatifs constructifs sont là...

Staff is friendly…Went in based on high review, but the food was awful. I ordered 2 bao, fried chicken and beef. Salad was decent. But their bao was indelible. The chicken was dry and undermarinated, and mostly skin. To top it off, the sauce was way too sweet. It was like eating chicken with condensed milk. I eat Korean sweet chicken all the time, but this was way too sweet. I’m not sure if I was unlucky or they serve it like that everyday. Their beef was under flavored and gummy. Great location, but they really need to improve...
