A cold gust of wind blows into my jacket as I search on Google Maps for a place to eat dinner. I am studying abroad in Paris and this is my first time so far away from home. Asia bo bun pops up on my recommended and I walk in to the restaurant. I find a seat and in my broken French I order, "une carafe d'eau et P4 s'il vous plaît". With the first bite of the pho, my insides were instantly warmed and I felt a surge of emotions as it reminded me of my dad's cooking at home. Then the memory of my dog trying to steal some of my noodles and my mom yelling at her to stop floods my mind as I sat by myself finishing my noodles.

Everything felt foreign and sometimes I would feel helplessly lost and alone in the big city of Paris but for the past four months I have been coming here regularly to feel at home. This place has become like a second home to me and I hope you can enjoy finding some happiness in a big bowl of pho like I...

I ordered a beef loc lac and a summer roll and both were not that good. The reason why is : I never had a summer roll with cheap sausage in it. Barely taste the shrimp cause that cheap sausage taste has its own flavor all over it. Beef loc lac was not beef loc lac. In the photos it looks like barbecued, glazed, smoky looking but in real life the sauce is all over the plate and wet. The beef it self was cool well but beef loc lac supposed to be cook like barbecue smoky not like liquid sauce. Had to finish cause I do t like wasting food and I was hungry. The beef loc lac might not be there stringiest menu but still if it a Vietnamese restaurant beef loc lac is a basic menu that should bang...

I only had one dish but seems pretty authentic to me. I had the mixed meats and omelette with rice. The Pork, lemongrass chicken and omelette are all pretty well made with good flavors. None of it was dry, which can easily be done. The only thing I wish was a little more moist is the rice. Was too dry for me although I know some people prefer it that way.

What I would personally do for dry rice dishes: add a small bowl of broth to go along with it. Pho broth would be phenomenal. Little things go a long way. And also put a lot of oil green onions on top of the rice 👌🏻.

Otherwise everything else was perfect...
