This place is so delicious. My gosh. Merci beaucoup for making such wonderful food. Their cafe du lait was some of the best I've had in Paris. And their croissants ugh.. I need more. I may stuff my bags tomorrow with treats from this place before I leave. The staff are wonderful. Thanks for everything. I love Paris. I love the food and this place signifies everything I have been looking for when it comes to Parisian bakeries.

Friendly staff even though there was a language barrier. We figured out how to communicate and I went back to the hotel with a chocolate croissant, macarons, and a trois chocolat cake. The cake was incredibly delicious. Prices were below average for Paris and taste far above average. If you’re in the Republic area and looking for a patisserie, this is it! I’ll be going back next time I’m in Paris.

This wonderful bakery is perhaps one of our most savored memories of Paris. We stayed at a large hotel just about around the corner. This also may have been the first bakery that we had been to on our twenty day visit to Paris. We went here five out of the six days that we stayed around Republic Plaza. Luckily, we had been playing with using the Metro system. When we moved to the far less expensive Rungis area we used the Metro System and weekly passes to make almost daily visit (they are closed on Sunday) to this wonderful bakery. And as you would expect (we really didn’t know more than a few words of French) the busy staff were efficient in helping us make our purchases. However as our visit became almost daily the staff seemed amused and smiled more as they recognized us. We enjoyed breads and croissants and dozens of delicious delights that we were unable to pronounce and only pointed to, leaving on each visit with four or five baked items that make my mouth water even as I write this review. Thank you Aux Peches Normands for all of the things that you baked. But thank you even more for being so kind to this US...

One female staff member (tall, long light brown hair with a pony tail) needs to work elsewhere. I was there on 2 occasions and she was incredibly impatient and beyond rude both times because I don’t speak French. I speak Spanish and English, but not French.

I believe in cutting people a break, but she ruined it a second time. The second time she actually took my order, made a joke to her co-worker in French who laughed, and then turned and walked away. The other staffer laughed but felt uncomfortable and waited on me. There are many other venues with tolerant staff that are good or better than this place.

Avoid if French is not the first language you speak.

I wish I could give zero stars, but you have to give one to...

I used to be a regular customer but sadly I won't ever buy from them again. I had lined up, entered the bakery, spent almost 5 minutes looking at their cakes and when I wanted to order, was rudely told off by one of the workers that I had "cut the line" and just started serving the person behind me. Didn't even bother to listen as I tried to explain I had been there before all of them! Luckily the people in the line had seen me and tried to help explain I had been there before them. I did not expect to be treated like a child in a bakery. Their products may be good but do not make up for the horrible,...
