Every element of the meal at Azattoona speaks of a deep respect for traditional flavors and an adept hand at their execution. It's a dining experience that stands out in Paris, offering a memorable foray into the heart of Indian cuisine. This is not just a meal, it's a freshly made celebration of flavors, making Azattoona a must-visit destination for any food lover in Paris! I highly recommend you order a lot of different items to share and enjoy all you can ! The seating inside was very comfortable, which is a major plus.
We enjoyed the Butter Chicken. The tender chicken is bathed in a creamy, rich sauce that's both aromatic and flavorfully balanced, a testament to the chef's mastery of spices. The Chicken Tikka delivered a punch of robust spices. The charred exterior on everything in the Tandoors Mix yielded a succulent, juicy meat inside.
The Garlic Naan is a delightful companion to these dishes, with its soft, pillowy texture and a generous smattering of garlic that's neither overpowering nor timid. It's perfect for sopping up the rich sauces of the main dishes.
To balance the spice and richness of the meal, the Mango Lassi is gem in its own right. The Chai, with its comforting warmth and blend of spices, was also a perfect complement to finish our meal.
I wish the owner and his family...
Read moreWonderfully friendly service with amazing food to compliment it! My girlfriend and I felt very out of place in our first night in France, not comfortable speaking or reading the language yet, but the server made us feel very safe and welcome! Even when we didn't grasp the explanations fully, they took the time to make sure we knew what we were ordering. They explained the menu and gave us a sampler dish to try some of the options and told us what was and was not vegetarian. The food was not only delicious, but also very cheap and was by far the most value worthy meal we have had in our 2 weeks in Europe! We have desperately missed complex flavors and spices since coming here, and this was a great way to bring us back! Even when it got busy in the restaurant, they were able to service us quickly with a very friendly attitude! Will be going back again before leaving Europe to try some more options! You can't beat the value for the great...
Read moreAzaytoona is a South Asian (Indian-Pakistani) restaurant with a Middle Eastern-European fusion. The name is certainly not South Asian but comes fromt he Arabic zaitoon or olive. The food is wonderful, especially with the hot, oven-fresh bread. Most importantly for practicing Muslims, the restaurant has a "genuine" halal certificate that can be checked on line from the certifying agency - unlike most Turkish and many other restaurants tht just write "halal" on their shop fronts to misguide innocent credulous believers, especially tourists like myself. The food was so good that we went back to it three times furing our four meals in Paris! We went for our dinner the first and second days and also the lunch (and final meal) on our last day. Tahnk...
