Bissac — Restaurant in Paris

The food was rather good and appropriately priced. If available on your visit, the stuffed quail was amazing.

I have a little annoyance with the service though. Made a reservation about 10 days ahead for a Christmas dinner, only to receive a cancellation a few days before while on my vacation (and too late to be able to book elsewhere at a similarly nice place).

Made another reservation a couple days before Christmas for 7. Website states that you must show within 15 minutes, so we made sure to be on time.

They brought us in and explained they were had having their staff Christmas dinner.. which is nice, but 1) why are you doing this during business hours or 2) why not give your customers a heads up beforehand?

Anyways, we sat there awkwardly while they spent the next 20 minutes wrapping up.... Then we were finally offered beverages.

My wife and I had a show at l'Opéra that supposed to finish at 10pm. I have spent a few days looking for nearby restaurants which would be open after our show. I was inspired by Bissac's menu and by the fact that the website allows to make a reservation up to 22.30. Our reservation was for 22.15 and was confirmed by the restaurant. We arrived there at 22.25 - yes, a bit late, though usually a 15-minute delay is tolerated - to be denied any service: the kitchen was closed and nobody cared to inform us in advance. Saturday night, December 21st, no place to go to and a very big disappointment. I would suggest Bissac to update their website and significantly improve their communication with and respoect for their customers. I will for sure never try again to go to this restaurants: it might be fantastic but this is not how you manage your reservation system and especially not how you treat customers. Pas...

Upd: herewith I complete my review Well, since it is not possible to reply to the restaurant's response to my review, herewith is my response: I was very pleased with your restaurant - delicious food and nice ambiance. But the fact is: your employee tried to cheat us on the bill.

Previous review: The food here is very good, but be careful with the bill: in this restaurant you are cheated - more expensive drinks are added to the bill, and in all positions. As proof, I photographed both bills — a total of €12 more was added. They should be ashamed...
