This baker needs to learn to accept constructive criticism. He has an enormous ego, and since he allowed himself to shout at a woman, I can say he's a misogynist.
Here's what happened: I bought a few cookies from this bakery. After tasting them, I realized they weren't fresh, so I went back inside to return them. The owner/baker started to yell at me, which included insults like there must be something wrong with me and he could suggest a doctor for me to see. He justified that his goods were fresh by giving me a tour and a history lesson of his workshop, and finally told me to get out of his shop. People outside the bakery could hear him yelling at me! He gave me a few "fresh" biscuits which I shared with my French friend who knew nothing of the situation, but replied, 'These aren't so fresh.'
Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of the very stale cookies, which I think he freezes, as there were a ton of them in the freezer which he showed me.
Read moreA shop carelessly killing bees because they consider them a "threat" to their poor business, is a shop not worth visiting. I enjoyed many many boulangeries in Paris, all of them colored by the presence of innocuous bees flying around sweet products, which never consisted in a threat for me or anyone around. Displaying (yes, they kill them of the main display of the shop) this cruel practice, showing many dead bees and other insects, made me sick and concerning (dead insects in food shop, not the best) about their morals and most importantly their HYGENE. Avoid this place, there are many many other good and...
Read moreWe came by because we were looking for a bakery with bread. The shop is located in the Jewish quarter and the bright blue shop front made it stand out. They had quite a selection of different types of bread. They also had quite a range of other baked goods. There were lots of different items but it was a bit hard to communicate in English. I was also feeling a bit sick from food poisoning the previous night so I didn't end up getting other items aside from the baguette. The baguette was nice and had a nice crisp crust and...
