Absolutely my favorite hotel in Paris! I was fortunate to spend 12 nights here, and everything about my stay was exceptional. The location near Saint-Sulpice is perfect—peaceful yet just steps away from elegant shopping streets, charming cafés, and the Jardin du Luxembourg.
The decor exudes classic Parisian charm, and there’s even a lovely courtyard. The elevator is spacious and quick (a rare luxury in Paris!), and my room was both beautiful and generously sized. It featured air conditioning, a comfortable bed, a large closet, and a small refrigerator. To my surprise and delight, my window offered views of the church right in front—and even the sparkling Eiffel Tower in the distance!
The service was warm, personalized, and truly superb. From booking and early check-in to the delicious breakfast served in my room, every interaction was a pleasure. I’m especially grateful to Marina, Stéphane, Cécilia, Gabriel, Bruno, and the rest of the team (in the sequence of my contacts with them) for their kindness, helpful advice, and assistance with museum and taxi reservations. They also shared wonderful tips about life and hidden gems in Paris, which made my stay even more meaningful.
One unexpected joy: I discovered an Argentine Tango gathering happening right outside the hotel. I joined them on two evenings—it was such a pleasure to watch and chat with these local and international advanced dancers. It was a lovely way to feel even more connected to the city. And rest assured, the music couldn’t be heard from my room.
What an outstanding stay. I’ll definitely return to this hotel on my next...
Read moreOur 7-night stay at Hotel Recamier was absolutely fantastic! All of the staff are so warm, inviting, pleasant, and went out of their way to make our stay wonderful! The decor of the hotel is beautiful; it is so-very-chic glamour meets well-traveled collector. There is a definite play with contrasting dark and light hues, glamorous furniture, mirrors and moody lighting that set the tone. And, extremely important to set the mood, the music played in the lobby is super chic and sophisticated. Also, the rooms are beautiful! We had Deluxe Room with a view of St. Sulpice and a Tradition Room with a courtyard view. The Tradition room has a separate sink/shower area from the toliet which our adult children really appreciated. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the sheets are luxurious. Besides the amazing quaint location, one of our favorite parts of our stay was the breakfast. It is a wonderful spread of French pastries, French bread, fruit, delicious cheese slices, charcurterie, hard-boiled eggs, juice, yogurt, and coffee/tea. All of the items served are fine quality and beautifully presented. The tables in the breakfast area are beautifully set and waiting for you, and the attendants are wonderful. Bring a few euros each morning to tip them as they do a fantastic job. I don't think I can say enough wonderful things to capture our experience at Hotel Recamier, except to say that my entire family looks back on our stay extremely fondly and says that our fantastic Parisian vacation was mostly due to this fabulous hotel! We will definitely be going back...
Read moreDuring a trip to France a friend and I actually stayed here 3 separate times.|This is a great location tucked away in a corner near Eglise Saint-Sulpice - loads of good restaurants in walking distance, also shopping and there is a fantastic hair salon next door- I got a great haircut and can recommend Frederic. This was organized by a lovely young man on the front desk whose name escapes me. He was also helpful in directing our private car service to the correct corner to pick us up.||There is a good sized Monoprix supermarket around the corner on rue Mabillon. Jardins du Luxembourg a few blocks away, easy walk to the Bon Marche, can walk to the river and over to the Right bank quickly. The staff were helpful and friendly, breakfast was good and the breakfast staff very nice indeed.||I had a Comfort room twice which was nice and perfectly adequate but was upgraded on one stay to a room on the 5th floor and I think that is worth the spend, much larger room, lovely view to the church, will book this next time.|My only real complaint about the Comfort rooms is that the lighting was really dim, could use some improvement here.|Rooms have Nespresso machines and water is provided. You can send laundry out from the hotel and it all came back in a timely fashion and was done well. You can have a steamer brought to the room if you need to iron something. And for North American visitors, the hotel does provide face cloths.|A lovely hotel and I...
