STAY AWAY!!! My daughter (21) was served a Japanese beef that was tough and inedible, along with rice that had a burnt flavor (menu: Piece de Boeuf - 24 euros). When we complained, we were questioned 4 different times about what was wrong with the meal. Everyone, including the manager, clearly understood English and the complaint. First, the waiter brought a sharper knife, that would not work on the tough beef. Waiter eventually took away the plate, which had not been eaten at all and asked if we wanted to order a replacement meal. Similar to other reviews (which I read after our experience), we were charged for the meal that was not eaten and the replacement meal. The manager continued to insist that the food was very good, he and others tasted it, and he would not take it off the bill. He became very rude! He told us the problem was us, not the food. Also, as others have stated, waiter asked for a tip, then stood there waiting for an amount to type in. He watched while my husband and I discussed an amount, then got impatient and said, just tell me (in an impatient way) and I will add it. Place is extremely cramped and bathroom facilities downstairs are also cramped with ladies having to wash hands back to back with men using the open urinal stall. Overall, poor experience and at a high cost. Please avoid the headache and...

Restaurant Review:

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this charming restaurant, and it was an experience to remember! From the moment we walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere set the tone for a delightful evening.

We started our meal with the onion soup, which was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced—a classic done right. Next, we tried the snails, which were cooked to perfection, tender and aromatic, served with just the right amount of garlic butter. For the main course, the duck breast was a standout—succulent, beautifully seared, and paired with a delicious sauce that complemented its richness. The tartar was equally impressive, fresh and expertly seasoned, with a lovely texture that melted in the mouth.

What truly elevated the experience, however, was the exceptional service. The staff was incredibly caring and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Their genuine warmth and professionalism added a personal touch to the evening.

Overall, this restaurant exceeded my expectations in every way. The food was exquisite, the ambiance inviting, and the service impeccable. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. I’ll definitely be returning...

Absolute tourist trap

After a few hours of walking around the Musee d’Orsay we walked into a nearby restaurant that said that they were a steakhouse and had a good rating overall, so we decided to enter despite seeing slightly elevated prices. We entered and they asked us where would we like to sit. When ordering food, we asked for water (normally free in France). When they brought water it was a labeled 0.75 bottle of water, it was evident that we would have to to pay for…(NINE EUROS!!!), and the waiter declined changing it for tap as “the bottle is already opened” (not in our sight btw)… We thought that we detected a tourist trap scam and it was unpleasant enough. However, we were not even close to anticipating a second hidden charge. When taking the order for sandwiches, the waiter asked “do you want it with a salad or fries”, and we made the choice. Imagine our surprise when we saw these sides in the bill - 6 euros for a small bowl of lettuce or a tiny bucket of fries! So in total we had unexpected +27 euros in our bill.

Only go if you enjoy investigating hidden scams - who knows how many they have still in their sleeves.

The food was ok, the interior is nice (thus 2 stars), but being scammed in a nice place doesn’t make...

Our visit to Café d’Orsay was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed, and it was clear that the staff was incredibly friendly toward Americans. They made us feel right at home, creating a truly enjoyable dining experience. Our waiter was outstanding—not only was he kind and attentive, but he also took the time to teach us some French! He patiently helped us with pronunciation and even explained a few phrases, making the experience both fun and educational. It was such a thoughtful touch that added to the charm of the evening. And of course, the food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was expertly prepared, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. The combination of great service, a welcoming atmosphere, and incredible food makes Café d’Orsay a must-visit. Highly recommend!

I only had read the reviews on this restaurant after we ate, however from my experience, it was great. The food came out fast, and it was still hot. (definitely recommend the risotto). Our waiter was kind, and amazed us with how he served our large group of 8. Even though they were packed, when we walked in and asked if they could seat 8, they said “yep,” and did their best to fit us in. They brought us tasty comfort food right after our visit to the museum. Honestly, the restaurant WAS definitely a sort of tourist trap. Also, the tables were a little small (for being sort of a tall person), but other than that, we are definitely coming back.
