Café DUNKERQUE — Restaurant in Paris

I’ve been more than one time to this café. Never had issues with the food nor with the waiters but this time, I ordered an English Breakfast and it came with mold on one of the baked tomatoes and the taste of the scrambled eggs wasn’t there… when the waiter came to clean the table, I kindly explained to him that the tomato was rotten. He was embarrassed, which I understand, but when it came to paying the bill, no gesture was made, and no apology. I’m not the kind of person to leave bad review whenever something happens, mistakes can happen. But mold shouldn’t even be possible on cooked products… unless it’s not fresh and has been stored for too long… and the least one’s could do is to remove the meal from the bill. Never coming back...

I recently visited this cozy café and had an absolutely delightful experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a charming deco. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, adding a personal touch to our visit.

We ordered the English breakfast and the pancakes with the salmon, and both dishes were exceptional. The English breakfast was perfectly cooked, the pancakes were light and fluffy, paired beautifully with the savory salmon.

The main plus about this place is the fast service. The downside is that the service was rude. We live in Paris and found our waiter to be very condescending. In all of our years here we have never experienced this. The food was overcooked and the cod and chips was served ‘deconstructed’ on a board. It was ridiculous. The cod was rubbery and our friend (who is a chef) had an overdone steak as well. Even though we live in the area we would not return. It is overpriced for the quality. My third star is for...
